    ...and we’re back.

After nearly two years out of this industry I am returning to the battlefield that is copier and printer repair.
After a several year stint with Konica Minolta I accepted an offer with Systel out of state working on a different brand, and the base pay was higher than what I was making at the time. Company car, new experience with a different brand, plus it was in a beautiful area as far as scenery goes. But the grass is never greener. The health insurance (that, at the time, was federally mandated) was too costly. If it were supposed to be a “benefit”, it was not beneficial and I would say it was almost punitive. Six months of that and we could not afford to remain. So I got work in my fallback field, warehousing. I worked at JEGS High Performance (not at the Distribution Center, but at the original 11th ave. location) for almost the last two years.
Due to the ever-increasing compounding of many small irritants I finally decided to resign and leave them to their fate.
i have accepted an offer from another repair company in my local area, and I will be an on-site technician again shortly. Instead of working on KM or Ricoh machines, I am told I will be trained on Toshiba and possibly Sharp. So I continue expanding my repertoire of brand repair experience. The majority I’ve seen all function fairly similarly, but learning the nuances of other brands always intrigued me. I look forward to gaining insight and technical assistance from those here who have much more experience than I, and I look forward to providing what meager assistance as I may be able.

Nice to hear from you. I been wondering what had happened to you. As for myself, I retired a few years ago but still come here to share my diminishing knowledge with the youngsters.

Welcome back. You was only two years outside of biz not like me 10, believe me it's like driving bicycle - easy peasy lemon squeezy

Welcome back! I can help with the Toshibas. I've been away from Sharp now 8 years.

If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.
