Here in Kern County a break down of cases by ethnic groups reveals that Hispanics comprise over 65% of those infected. Caucasians, whites, were the second largest group at just over 18%. My guess is that the Hispanic community tends to larger families with closer knit neighborhoods leading to faster infection rate. As social distancing spreads I expect the differences for new infection to tend to equalize.

The difference between genders breaks down to 52.1% male vs 47.9% female. Not certain if this a significant as the actual population ratio is not given.

It was not my intention to dwell on the first issue raised but was impossible to quote the tweet otherwise, suffice to say it is almost the same over here. My point is that this is the Department of Health and Social Care tweet channel and the best it can do is say certain genders. It is an example of something becoming too woke for its own usefulness.
