My buddy is a plant supervisor at a well known, decently sized, housing materials production plant outside of my town, and has told me that after “corporate”, who reside in a different (much more liberal state/ city), decided to invoke a mask mandate for ALL employees (last Friday), and said in the very near future that vaccine mandates will be imposed, nearly 250 of their employees didn’t show up for work today in protest!
That accounts for nearly 2/3rds of their production crew!!
This is the peak of their season, and it’s not looking good. They supply a huge chunk of the Midwest and other parts of the nation with housing materials (trusses, lumber, pre-fabbed homes, roofing, etc.).
They are pleading with corporate to remove the mandates , otherwise they’ll have a shortage of workers, and not be able to meet obligatory quotas/ contracts/ deadlines!
Bet ya haven’t heard about this on CNN or the liberal networks!
Just like you don’t hear that Nebraska favored really well, over all, through the entire course of this pandemic, both economically and health-wise, without strict lockdowns or mandates!

These mandates are going to backfire in a BIG way for all entities that impose them!

Hope they like unemployment Good News Guess there a lot of New Job Openings
Nebraska is an “Employment at Will” state. That means that the employer and the employee have equal rights to terminate employment at any time for any reason as long as no other law is being violated

    Welcome to the real world
Private companies are free to set conditions of employment as long as they do not violate existing state and federal laws, legal experts say. And there is no federal law prohibiting companies from requiring vaccines.

It's always trouble when your state hides the Covid19 numbers
COVID-19 data in Nebraska, which already has been scarce since the state stopped publishing a dashboard of information at the end of June, has become even scarcer.
Since announcing the end of the pandemic emergency at the end of June, neither Gov. Pete Ricketts nor any other state official has had much to say about COVID-19, even though cases have risen sharply since then.

In his case ignorance is bliss. The global MSN don't cover news when it goes against the narrative. Restrictions in England were due to be relaxed and when they weren't, this was the result.

    The title is deliberately misleading.

Ideally, a protest this large should have made the headlines like the smaller ones have done. I showed a twitter video to someone the following Monday, and he hadn't heard of it.

The French are protesting against the fact that Macron has made the vaccine mandatory, so maybe they are not accepting the vaccine as willingly as you are led to believe.

Did you not read the first comment under the video, nahh I thought not.

This title is absolutely misleading. Those people are fighting against mandatory vaccination and vaccine passports, with the possibility of getting arrested if you don’t have on.

Vaccination and mask mandates do not represent loss of individual freedoms.

Freedoms have never been absolute and individual decisions and actions always have always had consequences, especially when they put the collective good at risk. Remember drunk driving and smoking in the office?

If someone wants to go unvaccinated or unmasked they can - but they can’t expect to then go to a gym, teach children or work in a seniors home. Even if it means being disappointed or inconvenienced.

Please let us know if some of those 250 workers decide to show up at work the day after their protests rather than risk unemployment.

Employers have the right to dictate workplace safety and corporate America is rapidly losing patience with unvaccinated workers.

Moderna reaches deal with Canada to build ‘state-of-the-art’ Covid vaccine manufacturing plant after shortages

    • Moderna said it has reached a deal with the Canadian government to build a vaccine manufacturing plant to supply the nation with Covid shots.
    • Canada was plagued by Covid vaccine supply shortages earlier this year after it struggled to obtain shots manufactured in other countries.
    • Moderna said it is in discussions with other governments for similar collaborations.

Just talked to my friend that is one of the plant supervisors......he quit this morning!
He cited the loss of most of his production crew due to unnecessary "corporate mandates", and the impossible challenge of meeting demand with the majority of his crew gone because of the mandate. He doesn't want the failure of not meeting production to fall back on him.
He says this company is Fucked, and won't be able to hire enough skilled workers in a timely manner to get their obligations met.
The talk from corporate is that they are going to farm out the work to various other companies, at an exorbitant cost, instead of lifting the mask mandate to retain their skilled laborers!
He said a couple more employees didn't show up today, and that's what pushed him to leave.
He has already been given a promising lead at another housing materials plant.....it's much smaller, but closer to home (40 minute commute before, now it's a 10 min. drive), and the pay will be a little less, but in his eyes it's worth it.

I know about a dozen others that work at that plant, and have talked with a few of them, and they aren't worried about unemployment or being unemployed. A couple of them have already been picked up (for the same pay) by another housing component facility that has been struggling to find skilled workers for months! I foresee a sizeable chunk of those who quit to be picked up by this company, and other similar sized operations near my city that have been struggling to find skilled workers.

Hopefully we see more of this throughout the nation and the world.
We will not bow to the dictatorial mandates!
