FDA grants full approval to Pfizer's Covid-19 vaccine
The US Food and Drug Administration on Monday granted full approval to the Pfizer/BioNTech Covid-19 vaccine for people age 16 and older. This is the first coronavirus vaccine approved by the FDA, and is expected to open the door to more vaccine mandates.
The Pfizer/BioNTech vaccine has been authorized for emergency use in the United States since mid-December for people age 16 and older. In May, the authorization was extended to those 12 and older.
Out of more than 170 million people in the United States fully vaccinated against Covid-19, more than 92 million have received the Pfizer/BioNTech vaccine.
... this will likely encourage a wave of corporations, municipal govt's, federal gov't and state offices requiring their employees to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
You must be talking about New York and California.
It's strange that the FDA would approve this in such a short time. It's seems all the lobbyists and democratic senators finally forced the FDA's hand on this decision (purely political). The FDA is now throwing decades worth of normal practices/ approval methods out the window, and caving to the pressure of certain groups and senators/ representatives.
Either the FDA caved to the pressure, OR this vaccine had been developed and tested a lot sooner than we were told, which would beg the question of "how long have they known about Covid-19?". With what they learned from all the gain-of-function research that was happening, can we assume they were also developing a vaccine around the same time, and that's why it was "created so fast"?
From Johns Hopkins:
A typical vaccine development timeline takes 5 to 10 years, and sometimes longer, to assess whether the vaccine is safe and efficacious in clinical trials, complete the regulatory approval processes, and manufacture sufficient quantity of vaccine doses for widespread distribution.
Most places that I've been to that "require their employees to be vaccinated" (which isn't many) don't even ask me if I'm vaccinated. It's none of their business and they know that!
Even the healthcare places that have "automated sign-in kiosks", or a physical questionnaire, have a 'choose not to disclose' option for "vaccination status", because, again, they know it's none of their business!

The major companies requiring workers to get COVID vaccines | Fortune
... their should be no surprise that the FDA has approved Pfizer's COVID-19 vaccine. It has been injected millions of times around the world for over a year with no serious side effects and proven effective in fighting this deadly virus.
The world is rapidly moving on, leaving the naysayers behind.
Those who elect not to get vaccinated will lose access to many events and facilities. These people are self inflicting a loss of freedoms upon themselves that they so often crow about as being so important.
The science behind mRNA technology has been under development since the late 1990s. So much for your hinted at conspiracy theory.
If you were an employee of those companies you would be given the option to get vaccinated or find other employment. The choice would be yours, no freedoms taken away.
