You realize that you are saying you want a government entity to tell you if and when you can get an elective surgery and can send you to prison if you try to self pay to get the treatment. Dying while on a waiting for months to get needed test and other services that would have saved your life.

I have relatives that live in Canada ... and they come to the USA for treatments they can't get in a timely manner in Canada.

MOST Americans refuse to be under a socialistic society. We work hard and EXPECT to keep a good portion of what we earn.

It's bad enough a lot of our taxes have to go to deadbeats/illegals, while some vets are living on the streets after all they were promised when they signed up to serve.

I like to keep my money too. I was reading that the average Canadian pays around $5000 on their taxes for healthcare. That is pretty cheap peace of mind in my opinion.
I don't have to worry about whether my health insurance company will decide that they won't cover me anymore. I don't have to worry about whether I have any pre-existing conditions.
Even righties in Canada like universal healthcare. It isn't perfect but it will do until perfect comes along

Wow lets use Your logic you pay taxes for a fire dept yet you never used them. You pay taxes for schools but assume you have know kids. You pay taxes for public transportation but never use. Man you pay lots of taxes so others can use stuff for free.
