I like to keep my money too. I was reading that the average Canadian pays around $5000 on their taxes for healthcare. That is pretty cheap peace of mind in my opinion.
I don't have to worry about whether my health insurance company will decide that they won't cover me anymore. I don't have to worry about whether I have any pre-existing conditions.
Even righties in Canada like universal healthcare. It isn't perfect but it will do until perfect comes along
Here's what I mean. Every Canadian that is born will pay a tax for healthcare. If I don't work, I pay no taxes. In Canada, if I don't work, I still get free healthcare but someone else's tax dollar will pay for it. So, my statement is true. When a person is born in Canada, somebody gets taxed. Either them or someone else
