Re: Latest on the Corona Virus

President Joe Biden has promised a more forceful U.S. government response to the coronavirus pandemic, and on his second day in office released a national strategy and signed 10 executive orders and other directives as part of the plan. Here is what we know about his plans to speed the vaccine rollout and beat back Covid-19:

What is President Biden’s vaccine-distribution plan?
Mr. Biden wants to quicken the pace of vaccinations with a $20 billion national vaccination program. He has set a target of administering 100 million doses of the vaccine during the first 100 days of his presidency. The U.S. is administering close to 1 million doses a day now, but Rochelle Walensky, director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, told The Wall Street Journal, “We would prefer to underpromise and overdeliver.”

To accelerate vaccinations, he said his administration will work with federal, state and local officials to set up thousands of community vaccination centers across the country and deploy mobile units to rural and underserved areas. Mr. Biden promised 100 federally supported centers by the end of his first month in office. The Federal Emergency Management Agency will help set them up, and the federal government will increase reimbursements to states deploying the National Guard to help with vaccinations. Mr. Biden also said he aims to increase the pace of vaccinations by making shots available at independent and chain pharmacies beginning in February.

Biden came into the game way ahead:

the vaccine(s) were already out and being distributed.

the states have received the allotment PLUS some areas got more due to their plan to push out ( and followed up on it )

ships were sent to the east coast n west coast... and BARELY treated anybody... Cumface (Gov NY-D) put infected people in rest homes the
INSTEAD to the federally provided ship (Comfort)... 1,000's of people died due to that one single order... BUT he blamed Trump for his fuck up ..result was the same for the west coast ship.(Mercy)

Fed Gov't sent PPE's to all states. MOST dem states had sold their PPE's after the swine flu and NEVER replenished their stocks (NY-CA-Il-NC) Federal stocks were down also due to Obama never allocating replenishment supplies. Trump scrambled and got the ball rolling and the whole country backed him and started manufacturing more needed items

Biden hasn't had to start from scratch ... he hasn't produced a single plan that would QUICKLY take care of Covid... but has been riding the basic TRUMP plan...

he promised it would be GONE after the election, but now he states it will be SEVERAL MONTHS before we can take actions.

typical politician ... promise the world trying to get elected and then blame others for your own in actions.

States are obejcting to his 'plans'

hundreds of thousands of job HAVE BEEN LOST already

he has in ONE WEEK taken us to a MAJOR exporter in the 'oil products' to relying on foreign oil.

he has given CHINA the abilities to disable our power grid.

his buddies in CHINA are running rampant and have even threatened him after they funded his campaign

is pushing a 94 trillion dollar Green New Deal that won't get rolling for 5 years.

and you call this ASSHOLE a Patriot? my fucking DOG is more of a patriot than SnifferJoe.

Biden announces purchase of 200M vaccine doses

President Joe Biden announced a series of measures on Tuesday aimed at ramping up coronavirus vaccine allocation and distribution, including the purchase of 200 million more vaccine doses and increased distribution to states by millions of doses next week.

With those additional doses, Biden said there would be enough to fully vaccinate 300 million Americans -- nearly the entire US population -- by the end of summer or early fall.
He described efforts to combat Covid-19 as a "wartime undertaking."
"We now have a national strategy to beat Covid-19. It's comprehensive. It's based on science, not politics. It's based on truth, not denial, and it is detailed," he said.
As part of the new efforts announced Tuesday, the US will buy 100 million more doses from Pfizer/BioNTech and 100 million more from Moderna -- the two-dose vaccines that have been granted emergency use authorization by the US Food and Drug Administration. Pfizer and Moderna are working to step up production, and Biden said that the additional doses will be available this summer.
The new purchase will increase the planned Covid-19 vaccine supply from 400 million to 600 million, an official told reporters on a call on Tuesday ahead of Biden's remarks.

The President also took action on Tuesday to increase the weekly vaccine supply to states, tribes and territories -- upping the current 8.6 million doses to a minimum of 10 million doses weekly. Additionally, the White House will be providing three week vaccine supply look-ahead reports to states as opposed to one week look-aheads.
Biden's Covid coordinator, Jeff Zients, informed governors on a call Tuesday afternoon that Covid vaccine allocations for states would increase by around 16% starting next week.
A White House document explaining the move says the Biden administration is committing to maintaining this as the minimum supply level for the next three weeks.
The new efforts come one day after the President said he expects the US will soon be able to vaccinate 1.5 million people a day, which is a notable increase from the administration's previously stated target of 1 million per day. The President said that the US could surpass that initial target in about three weeks, and said that he thinks anyone who wants a vaccine will be able to get it by this spring.

    that was setup from Trump.

but since the power change ALL orders are required by LAW that the new incoming power make that same request.

Trump had it planned that by THIS time we would be at approx 1.8/9 million doses administered by this time ... but as always the dimwits have blocked every step of the way.

Democrat politicians have been making campaign promises for decades and yet very seldom fulfill those promises. So far all President Biden has done is to lie about former President Trump's plan.

What is President Biden’s vaccine-distribution plan?
Mr. Biden wants to quicken the pace of vaccinations with a $20 billion national vaccination program.
The House of Representatives controls the purse strings. Nancy Pelosi will have to land her broom stick and get to work on a spending and appropriation to create and authorize that plan since Hidin' Biden written one and submitted it to her to push through Congress.

He has set a target of administering 100 million doses of the vaccine during the first 100 days of his presidency. Independent and chain pharmacies have been prepared to provide walk in vaccination from the get go. They h ave been doing so with most other vaccines for decades and are just waiting on state governments to allocate the Moderna vaccine to them as it only requires the refrigerated storage that they already have.

Oh by the way, other than the Bakersfield metropolitan area, Kern County IS predominately a rural agricultural and petroleum community.
