Live and work in a large Canadian city with a few cases. Being dispatched from home and am to avoid contact with the other techs.

No football/rugby/horse racing and other sport to print fixtures for means an 85% drop in what we invoice.
If the games don't resume after the 3 of April like planed then we need to close down until further notice.

Also working the "slums" downtown areas.
    Whatever

Re: Are you going to work?

I live in Indiana, and I just heard on the radio that the Governor has closed ALL restaurants and bars in the entire state until further notice (carry- out will still be allowed). I seen a lot of kids playing outside today on the way to the office because schools are closed around here. I am still working out of an office that is an hours drive from my home, but I am the only one here on a regular basis. Contrary to the norm, all of a sudden working alone is not such a bad thing. 21 cases have been reported here.

Company-wide meeting this morning and business as usual for the time being, while following the social distancing guidelines and staying away from others as much as possible. Not sure how to stay from people in their offices when they call us out to fix their machines. Guess I could request they leave the room/office while I work on their machine but that would be rather awkward. Only 9 cases in the state of Kansas right now.

Re: Are you going to work?

We have a handful of school districts that are all closed. That cuts out quite a bit of calls. But I don't think any small businesses will be closing.

Re: Are you going to work?

I personally don't have any school district accounts, so there hasn't been much change as that goes. There has been word here about closing bars and restaurants, that will affect me some. This is always the busiest time of the year with the tax accountants working night and day until 15 April. After that, I expect some slow down.

I think the biggest surprise for me was going to the grocery store last Friday to see no apples, no potatoes, no bread, no milk, no toilet paper, no paper towel.

If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

In IT, Maryland state account is scrambling to hand out laptops to users to telecommute.

    No rest for us.

Lead tech on imaging/setup, etc. 24 page document click-by-click and PICTURE instructions on imaging and setting up the laptops. A fu*king 5-year old could image and set these up!

    Fun times!
