IMHO the reaction to this virus has been absoultly foolish. If you don't work for an "esential' company, you have probably already lost your job and are one of the millions in the unemployment line. This is where I find the response ludacris. Those that are sick and could really be hurt by this should stay at home. If we could shut down and ride it out in a week then maybe I'd support it, but this will be months before it's even under control. Meanwhile my kids, their friends, my non essential neighbors, and many of the customers my 'essential" job supports will be destitute. That's what I'm "complaining" about. E

Please get a mask or make two from cotton and just swap whilst one is being washed and dried.

    Stay safe everyone!

If people are keeping up with reports... unless you have the high dollar mask.. the cheep ones (cotton) really aren't any good except for using as TP.
Don't be fooled into Inet ads offering you GREAT deals on mask either.
Make your own double layer with activated charcoal in between..
Normal masks once damp can do the wearer more harm than good.

Oh what 3 weeks have brought to this country! Just incredible! But, we will get thru this, and this country will prosper more than before and all the people with TDS will feak out! Trump will be re-elected! When this is done and over(which it will never be) this flu will be around for years to come, it will be something we will have to get used too. People will pass, but ,that's just the cycle of life. Sad, but, true. So... Like they say, hunker down ,hold on to your cash, spend less, adjust, and be safe as always. God Bless America! Still the greatest country in the world.

Governor of Virginia just extended "Shelter in Place" order till JUNE 10th!! This is what I mean by insanity. There will be a depression in this country.

Disregarding, or being blind to what is going on, will put you, your family, and others at risk for this, so far, virus that has no known validated vaccine.

Re: Get us the F--k back to work!

This looks like the typical me, me, me attitude this country has come too. People feel just because they are not sick means they can go out and do what ever they want. They don't realize that a person can transmit the disease without even having any of the symptoms. So you can get and transmit and not have the symptoms.

In order to get the masses to do what is need extremes must be taken to get people to do what should be common sense.

As far as homemade masks two layers of a cotton t-shirt will only stop 50% of particulates while 2 layers of a terry cloth kitchen towel will stop 97% of particulates including virus down to .3 micron. According to the CDC. The CDC also recommends the T-shirt mask because it is easier to breath through. If it is not comfortable people will not wear it is their thinking. You can also go to your local store, if open, and pick up a home AC filter that is HEPA rated. Some of these are rated to filter virus from the air. Cut these down to put in between the cotton t-shirt layers.

Of course I cannot find the exact article I got my info from above. It was on the CDC website though. Here is another that mentioned the use of t-shirt.

Simple Respiratory Mask - Volume 12, Number 6—June 2006 - Emerging Infectious Diseases journal - CDC
