    re: The 80s

A local college radio station played a few songs yesterday, and i thought the idea behind the songs was awesome!
They did a "Cover for Cover" thing where a newer band covered an older bands song and Vice Versa.
Weezer isn't an 80's band, but they cover Toto's song Africa.

YouTube - 'Africa' by Toto - Covered by Weezer.

YouTube - 'Hash Pipe' by Weezer - Covered by Toto

Would love to see the Older bands cover some of the newer bands stuff more often!

Not getting on anyone's case here but it makes it SO MUCH easier to see the videos (no need to click through to Youtube after getting the CTN warning) if you embed them in your posts vs. just posting the link. Also, if you embed them, you don't need to take the time to type out who it is and what song it is because it will be right there on the video. Just click on the filmstrip icon above to embed the video.

One of my favorites from back in the day, especially when radio was how I got most of my music.

Started in the copier service business in the fall of 1988 and worked at the same company for 33.5 years, becoming the senior tech in 2004 but left to pursue another career on 4/29/22.

Lol I was about to post this long time ago here but hey this thread is so cool I don't even bother at all.
In any case you are damn right on this.
    Cheers guys!

One of the best live shows ever! Strippers......that’s about the only thing my young mind could focus on! That, and Mick Mars shredding away in his Top Hat!
Tommy Lee is the star of the show lately with his roller coaster drum sets, but I still go and see them when they swing through. Next time will be the 8th time.
