It's got to be a Xerox ... maybe 9200? 1980 is 9 years before I started in this line of work. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

In my quest to answer mojorollas question I stumbled on this video from 1997 with one of the laser printers inventors. Only a tech would find this interesting lol. By the way BC is correct…. Its a xerox 9200 google it.

I knew what it was from the monstrous size. Only we used to call them Brand X. Oh, and IBM means "I've Been Misled."

Awesome. Thanks for posting this. Absolutely fascinating. Gas lasers can you believe that. Memory was a real limiting factor.

Yup pretty impressive feat when you think about it. Been doin this stuff since 1991 and to this day I still tell folks from time to time that its a wonder these machines work at all.

Here's an Old Xerox poster I got recently and had it framed.
