Fact Check: Biden Caught Red-Handed Lying to Americans About Amy Coney Barrett

Day 1 of Judge Amy Coney Barrett’s Supreme Court nomination hearings hadn’t gotten off the ground before Joe Biden was lying about her in front of a camera.
And as usual with Biden, it didn’t take long for the truth to come out.
The former vice president and current Democratic nominee for president was on his way to a plane to Ohio on Monday morning, according to the Washington Examiner, when he paused to answer a question about President Donald Trump’s third nominee to the high court.

Biden could have contented himself with again spinning a yarn about how the Barrett nomination is “unconstitutional” (it’s not). He could have complained that Republicans were violating their own precedent from the 2016 fight over Obama nominee Merrick Garland (they’re not).
Instead, being Biden, he went straight to a flat-out lie about the nominee’s record – particularly as it relates to the monstrosity known as Obamacare.

“This nominee said she wants to get rid of the Affordable Care Act — this president wants to get rid of the Affordable Care Act,” Biden said. “Let’s keep our eye on the ball. This is about less than one month, Americans are going to lose their health insurance.”

Check out the video below. The crucial part starts about 20 seconds in, but viewers who watch from the beginning will get to watch as Biden pretty clearly could not remember the name of Mitt Romney — a fairly familiar name in political circles, being the current senator and former Massachusetts governor who challenged Biden and then-President Barack Obama in the 2012 election. (Yet more evidence that Biden is not entirely with it upstairs.)

    CBS News

Joe Biden tells reporters that Barrett's faith should not be considered during her confirmation process. "Let's keep our eye on the ball," he said. "This is about whether or not in one month Americans are going to lose their health insurance." https://cbsn.ws/2GHz0F6

    https://twitter.com/i/status/1315691253363879952

What Biden said was simply not true, though as usual with Biden’s fabrications, there was a fact buried in there that served as his stepping stone to fantasy.
As Fox News reported, the Supreme Court is scheduled to hear oral arguments in a case challenging the constitutionality of Obamacare on Nov. 10.
If the Senate confirms Barrett, as Majority Leader Mitch McConnell has all but vowed, she will be on the high court in time for those arguments.
The problem is that Biden grossly overstated Barrett’s writings on Obamacare to the point of malicious fiction.

As the Washington Examiner reported, in a 2017 piece for the law review of Notre Dame Law School, Barrett took on the 2012 landmark opinion by Chief Justice John Roberts that contorted logical and legal thought to find a way to uphold the constitutionality of the law.
“Chief Justice Roberts pushed the Affordable Care Act beyond its plausible meaning to save the statute,” Barrett wrote. “He construed the penalty imposed on those without health insurance as a tax, which permitted him to sustain the statute as a valid exercise of the taxing power; had he treated the payment as the statute did — as a penalty — he would have had to invalidate the statute as lying beyond Congress’s commerce power.”

Countless opinions have been written about Roberts’ ruling in that case, and American conservatives know well that they’ve never fully trusted the chief justice since (with very good reason). But the point here is not Roberts’ mangling of the law to get his desired result — or even the likely result of the new Obamacare case.
It’s Biden’s willful misrepresentation of what Barrett wrote about Obamacare that matters.

    https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/n...dable-care-act

She did not write that she wanted to get rid of Obamacare. She wrote that the ruling that upheld it was a willful construction by Roberts that pushed the words of the law beyond their “plausible meaning.”
In other words, if there is an argument that Obamacare and its infringements on American liberty are constitutional, Roberts’ ruling didn’t make it.

“A faithful judge resists the temptation to conflate the meaning of the Constitution with the judge’s own political preference,” Barrett wrote later in the review piece.
Those are words every conservative can get behind – they’re words every American should get behind.
But they’re deadly to Democrats, who’ve spent decades winning victories in court they could never win in a free and fair election.
Democrats know that, which is why they’ve turned Supreme Court confirmations – a hitherto routine part of constitutional government – into one more front in their endless attacks on the constitutional government established by the Founders.
Many Americans have probably forgotten how big of a role Biden played in that development.

He was the Senate Judiciary chairman, after all, when Judge Robert Bork’s confirmation to the Supreme Court was destroyed in 1987.

He was also chairman of the Judiciary Committee in 1991, when the nomination of now-Justice Clarence Thomas was very nearly destroyed by 11th-hour attacks and accusations of sexual harassment.

Thanks in large part to Biden’s own career, Democrats have made it clear they’re capable of going to disgraceful lengths to stop a conservative justice from being seated on the court.
No American who witnessed the 2018 battle over Brett Kavanaugh can ever forget that.
And now comes Joe Biden again, about to get on a campaign plane in his third run for the presidency, launching a lie at an honorable nominee like Amy Coney Barrett before her hearings even got off the ground.
Unfortunately for Democrats, the day wasn’t even over before the truth came out.

Biden Says ‘Only Way’ He Won’t Win Election Is If ‘Chicanery’ Occurs

No Joe the only way YOU will win is because of 'Chicanery' on the DNC's part!

Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden told supporters Saturday that \the only way he would lose the election in November is by “chicanery” in the form of voter intimidation. “Make sure to vote because the only way we lose this is by the chicanery going on relative to polling places,” Biden said during a speaking stop in Erie, Pennsylvania.
Biden later clarified his remarks and said that he would accept the results of the election regardless of who wins.

“I understand one of the comments I made was taken a little out of context. I’m going to accept the outcome of this election period,” he said Saturday evening.
“I was referencing the attempts that are made to try and influence and scare people from voting.”

    https://twitter.com/i/status/1315061176594817024

Biden has repeatedly criticized President Donald Trump’s rhetoric regarding mail-in voting, undermining confidence in the election and refusal to accept its results, The Hill reported. Yet the former vice president has had problems of his own creation with public statements before — and blamed them on missing “context.”
Forecasters have warned that the initial election results may not match the final results, since the surge in mail-in ballots due to the coronavirus pandemic may prevent some states from tallying all of their ballots on election night.
That could mean a long wait until after the polls actually close to know the results.
Biden leads Trump by over 10 points nationwide and 7.3 points in Pennsylvania, according to FiveThirtyEight.

Yup the dimwits are running scared.. Biden is worse of a candadate than Hillary, and we know the rivers of tears that flowed that night!

Report: Controversial New York Gov. Cuomo Floated for Major Position in Biden's Cabinet

Democratic New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo, who served as the state’s attorney general prior to his 2010 election as governor, is being mentioned as a possible attorney general if Democratic candidate Joe Biden wins the presidential election.
According to Axios, sources said that aides at the National Governors Association are “so convinced” that Cuomo will want to return to Washington that they are looking for a replacement to serve as chair if Cuomo, the current chair, departs.
Cuomo served as secretary of Housing and Urban Development in the Clinton administration from 1997 to 2001.

Axios reported that Cuomo “is being pushed for the job” but also that the governor, whose term ends in 2022, is not interested in serving.
“One hundred percent he’s made zero outreach, has had zero conversations about this and has made his desire to stay in New York clear as day and be governor as long as people want him,” Richard Azzopardi, an adviser to Cuomo, said in a statement, according to the New York Post.

Of course, Biden would have to win the election in order to add Cuomo to the administration, a possibility the Trump campaign dismissed out of hand.
“There is zero chance that President Trump will appoint Gov. Cuomo attorney general in his second term,” Tim Murtaugh, director of communications for Trump’s 2020 campaign, told Fox News.
A possible Cuomo appointment raised eyebrows on Twitter.

Joe Biden is actively considering Andrew Cuomo to be the Attorney General of the United States if he is elected. If you didn’t have a reason to vote against him before, you should have one now.

Two years ago, Andrew Cuomo told a gathering of Democrats that “America was never that great.” For him to be a potential Attorney General tells you everything you need to know about Joe Biden’s values and how he would govern our great nation.

BREAKING: Biden to consider New York Governor Andrew Cuomo for US Attorney General - @axios

Axios noted that Biden and Cuomo are personally close, as Biden had known Cuomo’s father, the late New York Gov. Mario Cuomo.

Although Cuomo has thrust himself into the national limelight during his state’s battle with the coronavirus, controversy has followed him as New York has emerged with the second-highest death rate in the nation.
A Cuomo order that sent many COVID-19 patients into nursing homes has been linked with a spike in deaths at those facilities, The New York Times reported.

Re: Just how Sleepy is Joe Hiden ???

OK Sleepy Joe doesn't remember which state he's in ( DJT has no problems there ) and this is the 2nd time I can remember that he declared himself running for the U.S. Senate!????????????
Which is it Sleepy Joe? Are you going to be taking 'KneePads' Senate seat when you are served the Amendment 25 papers?

This Isn't Normal: Joe Biden Declares He's 'Running as a Proud Democrat for the Senate'

With 22 days until the Nov. 3 election, Democrat presidential nominee Joe Biden appeared to momentarily forget which office he is seeking when addressing supporters on Monday in Ohio.
The Trump campaign shared video of Biden’s gaffe at a podium in Toledo during a drive-in rally:

LOOK AT HIS EYES AND FACE IN THIS CLIP....

    https://twitter.com/i/status/1315717708734959619

In an impassioned declaration, the soon-to-be-78-year-old made a head-scratching statement.

    — Trump War Room – Text TRUMP to 88022 (@TrumpWarRoom) October 12, 2020

“You know, we have to come together,” Biden said as he scratched his own head. “That’s why I’m running. I’m running as a proud Democrat for the Senate.”
A moment later, he seemed to correct himself, saying, “When I ran as a proud Democrat for vice president, and I’m running as a proud Democrat for president. Well, I promise you this, I will govern as an American president.”

LIVE Joe Biden Speech from Toledo, Ohio - YouTube

The moment was another gaffe for a man who is already dogged by questions about his cognitive functioning.
This actually isn’t the first time the Democratic presidential candidate has claimed to be running for the Senate this year.

In February, Biden told a crowd in South Carolina that he wanted their votes to elevate him to the upper house of Congress.
“You’re the ones who sent Barack Obama to the presidency, and I have a simple proposition here: I’m here to ask you for your help,” he said in February.

“Where I come from, you don’t get far unless you ask. My name is Joe Biden. I’m a Democratic candidate for the United States Senate. Look me over. If you like what you see, help out. If not, you can vote for the other” — the last word appeared to be a mashup of “Biden” and “guy.”
“Give me a look, though,” he added.

Biden, also in South Carolina, introduced a Democratic Senate candidate as the next “president” in the same week.
“Folks, now we need to stand behind Jaime Harrison, the next president of the United …” he said, before correcting himself. “Next senator — South Carolina.”

Seven months later, and a bazillion gaffes and brain freezes further along, Biden is now on a trajectory to potentially become the president should voters choose him next month.
Yet the country is no closer to knowing if questions about his cognitive health are valid, as his health status has been protected by his campaign, the not-so-nonpartisan Commission on Presidential Debates and the establishment media.
The latter has protected Biden from himself and hidden statements like the one he made Monday from so many voters.
Establishment media coverage of his Senate declaration on Monday was nowhere to be found.
Neither was Biden’s statement on Friday in Nevada, when he apparently forgot where he was and misstated that he was in Arizona while ducking court-packing questions.
    https://twitter.com/i/status/1314727565622480899
If he defeats President Donald Trump on Nov. 3, Biden will have the country’s nuclear codes, a frightening proposition given his frequent mental lapses.

More like 100% there Sleepy Joe!

Biden Says 56 Percent of Americans 'Probably Shouldn't' Vote for Him

Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden on Monday shrugged aside a poll of Americans saying they are better off now than they were when Biden was vice president in the Obama administration.
During an interview with Kyle Inskeep of WKRC-TV in Cincinnati, Biden was informed that a Gallup poll showed that 56 percent of Americans said they were better off now, under President Donald Trump’s leadership, than four years ago.
Inskeep then asked the Democrat why those people should vote for him over Trump.

    https://twitter.com/i/status/1315852401346215943

Biden went on to argue with the poll’s findings and criticize the respondents as forgetful.
“Fifty-four percent of the American people think they’re better off economically today than they were under our administration. Well, their memory is not very good, quite frankly, and in addition to that, we have a president who doesn’t share the values of most Americans,” he said.

Gallup’s survey, reported Oct. 7, found that despite the impact of the coronavirus on the economy, 56 percent of those polled said they were better off now than four years ago, while 32 percent said they were not.
The survey showed that Americans were more upbeat after three-and-a-half years under Trump than at almost four years under former President Barack Obama.
Gallup noted only 45 percent of those surveyed in December 2012 said that their economic lives had improved since Obama was elected in 2008.

Trump’s number also topped that of former President George W. Bush. A Gallup survey near the end of Bush’s term found that 47 percent of Americans said their economic lives were better than four years previous to being surveyed.
The president has called his poll support “amazing.”
“The Gallup Poll has just come out with the incredible finding that 56% of you say that you are better off today, during a pandemic, than you were four years ago (OBiden). Highest number on record! Pretty amazing!” Trump tweeted Oct. 8.

In an email to CNN, Trump spokesman Steve Guest said, “This is a direct result of President Trump’s policies. The American people are resilient, and they know they have a fighter in President Trump at the White House who spends every day working for them.”
Biden’s comment that some Americans probably shouldn’t vote for him is a familiar refrain, according to Forbes.
He last used the line in May in discussing allegations of sexual assault leveled against him by former Senate staffer Tara Reade.

    https://twitter.com/i/status/1261306068086525952

The former vice president said voters who believed her “probably shouldn’t vote for me,” adding, “I wouldn’t vote for me if I believed Tara Reade.”
