Confirmed: Biden Cancer Charity Spent Zero on Cancer Research, Millions on Executives' Salaries

Federal filings show that a cancer charity started by former Vice President Joe Biden spent no money on research, but lots on salaries.
In 2017, Biden announced that as a supposed tribute to his son, Beau, who died of brain cancer in 2015, the Biden Cancer Initiative would “develop and drive implementation of solutions to accelerate progress in cancer prevention, detection, diagnosis, research and care and to reduce disparities in cancer outcomes.”
The New York Post reported that IRS filings showed the group took in $4,809,619 in contributions in 2017 and 2018, and spent $3,070,301 on its staff during that time.

The filing showed no money was shared through grants, the Post reported.
President Donald Trump was among those reacting to the report.
Concerns about the initiative had been raised in the past.
In June, months before the election, the Washington Free Beacon reported tax documents from the Biden Cancer Initiative — released by ProPublica — show that almost 65 percent of the money the group spent went to staff salaries, including for executives who pulled down six figures.
Arthur Caplan, a bioethics professor at New York University, told The Associated Press that he had concerns regarding whether the partnerships the initiative relied on meant the “Biden administration would give favorable treatment for anyone who supported his foundation in the past.”
Gregory Simon, who has served as the charity’s president, earned $429,850 in fiscal 2018, which for the charity covered July 1, 2018 to June 30, 2019), the tax filings said, according to the Post. The year before, he earned $224,539, the Post reported.
Simon led a White House cancer task force during the Obama administration and is a former executive at drugmaker Pfizer.

Danielle Carnival, the Biden initiative’s vice president who was the chief of staff of the Obama-era effort to fight cancer, made $258,207 in 2018.
In its first year, the charity spent just over $115,000 on conferences and travel. That mushroomed to more than $750,000 in its second year.
Simon has said the charity was not designed to dole out grants, but to accelerate treatment for individuals, the Post reported.

The charity effectively stopped such work as it did when Biden started his presidential campaign, Simon told The Associated Press in 2019.
“We tried to power through, but it became increasingly difficult to get the traction we needed to complete our mission,” he said then.

Don't get your hopes up, there's nothing illegal about Biden's foundation. According to their 990 form they don't fund research. They are a think-tank meant to form collaborations and connect people with opportunities.
Biden also stopped it before running for pres so there would be no conflict of interest.

Trump and his children are the ones who were found guilty of robbing their charities.

His company, Hillstone, were going to pull in just under $1.5 BILLION for that deal, but made a critical error and had to back out. Hillstone company officials admitted they would not have been awarded the coveted government contract without "having the little brother of the vice president on their board". Corruption, plain and simple.
Or how about When Hunter started working with Bohai Harvest RST, a chinese firm, who would go on to invest in facial-recognition technology used to surveil China’s Muslim population as part of its ongoing cultural genocide operation. The President, Greg Simon, who pocketed $224,539 in 2017 and $429,850 in 2018, is an old buddy of Biden’s from the Obama administration. And there were others who profited from their association with Biden.
The bottom line is that Biden Cancer Initiative spent 65 percent of its budget on executive compensation. Charity watchdogs like Charity Navigator recommend that 25 percent of a charity’s budget be spent to pay executives. The Biden charity was not in business to cure cancer. It was set up and run as just another cog in Biden’s presidential campaign apparatus.
