    Report: Biden Received Record-Shattering Amount in Dark-Money Donations to Aid 2020 Victory


    President Joe Biden used millions in dark money donations to assist his 2020 election victory, which is considered a faux pas in some Democratic circles.
    The Biden campaign was given roughly $145 million in these anonymous donations.
    The obscene amount takes the record from failed presidential candidate Mitt Romney, who accrued $113 million in dark money donations in 2012, Bloomberg reported.

    Dark money is money given by nonprofit organizations to political campaigns — a practice that became more common after the Citizens United v. Federal Election Commission decision in 2010.
    The reason why these donations are considered “dark” is that the nonprofits that provide them are not obligated to publicly disclose their donors.
    By comparison, former President Donald Trump had a more modest $28.4 million in dark money, which is not a shock given his anti-establishment views.

    The most notable dark money contribution to the Biden-Harris campaign was $26 million from the nonprofit arm of the Priorities USA Action Fund, a Democratic super PAC.

    All the millions in dark money donations were part of building Biden’s $1.5 billion war chest, according to Bloomberg, which was the most raised by any presidential candidate challenging an incumbent in history.

    Populists like Sen. Bernie Sanders of Vermont used to be vehemently opposed to the use of dark money, but the issue seemed to go to the back burner when a Republican won the presidential election in 2016.
    Sanders’ organization, known as “Our Revolution,” was accused of spending dark money to help progressive candidates win in 2020.

    The group claims to publicly report donations over $250, but it does not file documents at any public agency or specify the names of donors, USA Today reported in February.
    Advocates of campaign finance reforms have taken issue with the practice of dark money because people will have no clue who is influencing American politics if these donors are not public.
    Plenty of millionaires and billionaires can ultimately alter the outcome of an election by providing funds to outside groups, but Americans might never know who these donors are.
    The practice is just one facet of the complicated world of campaign finance that the public is told they don’t need to know anything about.

    An angry firestorm from both leftwing feminists and conservative constitutionalists is besieging President Joe Biden who, on Day One of his presidency, issued an executive order that removes any legal recognition of the two sexes and eradicates protections women have enjoyed in the federal government and other arenas such as bathroom privacy and sports.

    Self-righteous orthodox left-wingers in the UK have been gushing in their praise of Biden, not because of who he is but rather because of who he isn’t. It seems that to them, women’s rights are a fair trade for a new, less obviously obnoxious president. One wonders if the women in mixed-sex hospital wards, prisons and refuges agree.





    After celebrating a return to “banality” with Trump out of office, gay left-of-center writer Andrew Sullivan nevertheless warned Friday that Biden has “ambitions” that “are much more radical.”
    Biden, Sullivan wrote, is “junking” the concept of “equality of opportunity” and replacing it with “equity,” or “equality of outcomes.”



    “Most people won’t notice that this new concept has been introduced — equity, equality, it all sounds the same — but they’ll soon find out the difference,” he continued. “The paradox, of course, is that to achieve ‘equity’ you have to first take away equality for individuals who were born in the wrong identity group. Equity means treating individuals unequally so that groups are equal.”

    Biden Wants Taxpayers To Pay For Socialism

    Biden signed an executive order on Thursday aimed to increase reimbursements and other assistance to states in the battle against the Chinese coronavirus pandemic. Per the order, the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) shall “make available under Category B of the Public Assistance program such assistance as may be required by States (including territories and the District of Columbia), local governments, and Tribal governments to provide for the safe opening and operation of eligible schools, child-care facilities, healthcare facilities, non-congregate shelters, domestic violence shelters, transit systems, and other eligible applicants.”
    “FEMA shall make assistance under this section available at a 100 percent Federal cost share until September 30, 2021,” the order adds.
    While the specific details have yet to be determined, the move represents a shift from the Trump administration, which agreed to reimburse such activities up to 75 percent. Biden’s order could result in U.S. taxpayers covering the cost of the homeless hotels used in San Francisco throughout the pandemic entirely. According to the San Francisco Chronicle, the city is sheltering roughly 2,200 homeless in over two dozen hotels.
    City Controller Ben Rosenfield said it remains unclear if the order is retroactive. If so, the city could be entitled to millions of dollars.
    “I think it’s safe to say it will apply from now until September, for those that are eligible,” Rosenfield stated.
    “Rosenfield said about 85% of the hotel guests are likely eligible for reimbursement, though it was unclear Friday whether the Biden administration changed the definition of who qualifies,” the outlet added, reporting that Biden’s executive order is welcomed among city officials, as the previous administration did not specify when federal funding would come to a halt.

    The California Department of Housing and Community Development reportedly used tens of millions of federal dollars via the Coronavirus Relief Funds (CRF) to put homeless individuals in hotel rooms in the era of the Chinese coronavirus, as Breitbart News reported in August.
    “Administered by the California Department of Housing and Community Development (HCD), $600 million in grant funding will be made available to local public entities, including cities, counties, or other local public entities, including housing authorities or federally recognized tribal governments within California to purchase and rehabilitate housing, including hotels, motels, vacant apartment buildings, and other buildings and convert them into interim or permanent, long-term housing,” the Homekey program announced at the time, noting that “$550 million is derived from the State’s direct allocation of the federal Coronavirus Aid Relief Funds (CRF).”

    New Poll Reveals How Americans Are Really Feeling About Joe Biden

    A new ABC News/Ipsos poll has found that just one in five Americans has a “great deal” of confidence that President Joe Biden will make progress in unifying the country.
    Unity, of course, was a major theme of Biden’s inaugural address; however, he sent mixed messages during the speech and followed it with a slew of divisive executive orders.
    When respondents were asked the question, “How much confidence do you have in Joe Biden to make progress on unifying the country?” just 22 percent selected “a great deal.”

    Another 35 percent said “a good amount.”
    “Not so much” was how 19 percent replied, and “none at all” garnered the vote of another 24 percent of respondents.
    A larger percentage found Biden’s call for unity in his inaugural address to be convincing when shown a clip from it, which is quoted below.
    “We can see each other not as adversaries but as neighbors. We can treat each other with dignity and respect. We can join forces, stop the shouting and lower the temperature. For without unity, there is no peace, only bitterness and fury,” the president said.

    “No progress, only exhausting outrage. No nation, only a state of chaos,” Biden continued. “This is our historic moment of crisis and challenge, and unity is the path forward. And we must meet this moment as the United States of America.”



    Forty-four percent who watched that clip found the views the new commander in chief expressed to be “very convincing.” Another 26 percent saw it as “somewhat convincing.”
    Ten percent believed it was “not so convincing” and 19 percent said it was “not convincing at all.”
    Put me in that last group, and I need look no further than remarks Biden made within the same speech, just a few short sentences before the excerpt above.

    Without going so far as New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s infamous 2018 claim that America “was never that great,” Biden sort of skirted around the edges of it, describing the country’s past and present in harsh terms.
    “Our history has been a constant struggle between the American ideal that we are all created equal and the harsh, ugly reality that racism, nativism, fear and demonization have long torn us apart,” he said. “The battle is perennial.”

    “And now, a rise in political extremism, white supremacy, domestic terrorism that we must confront and we will defeat,” Biden proclaimed.
    The new president then said the only way “to restore the soul and to secure the future of America” is through unity.

    The problem is that in order to have unity, you must have something for people to unite around.
    Biden noted that in the nation’s past, the “better angels” of our nature have prevailed, such as during the Civil War, the Great Depression, World War II and more recently 9/11.
    But what was the glue that held people together then?
    The vision contained in the Declaration of Independence: “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.
    “That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed.”

    Well, on day one Biden abolished former President Donald Trump’s 1776 Commission, whose mission was to “enable a rising generation to understand the history and principles of the founding of the United States in 1776 and to strive to form a more perfect Union.”
    It had been established to counter the “1619 Project” way of thinking, which Biden apparently supports, which holds that America’s founding should be defined as the year slavery was introduced into the British colony of Virginia, rather than July 4, 1776, when liberty was unleashed that eventually changed America and the world.

    That was just one of many divisive executive orders that included canceling the Keystone XL Pipeline, re-entering the Paris climate accord, ending construction on a border wall, mandating that biological men can compete in women’s sports, pausing discounting insulin and EpiPens for low-income Americans, freezing deportations of illegal immigrants and banning new oil and gas drilling leases on federal lands for at least 60 days.
    That of course includes fracking, which Biden promised during the campaign he did not oppose.
    These are not the kinds of actions that show a readiness to find consensus.
    It is no wonder such a small percentage of Americans are really confident that Biden can unify the country.


    Words are nice, but actions speak louder, and so far this president is governing as a far leftist.

    The ABC/Ipsos survey was conducted from January 22-23 among 504 adults. The margin of error is +/- 5 percentage points.

    Judge Rules Last-Minute Changes to State's Election Law Were Illegal

    A Virginia Circuit judge has ruled that Virginia’s last-minute election rule change to allow mail-in ballots to arrive late without a postmark was illegal.
    The ruling will permanently prevent the Virginia State Board of Elections from accepting and counting absentee ballots without postmarks it receives up to three days after Election Day, according to the Public Interest Legal Foundation.
    “This is a big win for the Rule of Law,” PILF President J. Christian Adams said in a statement.

    “This consent decree gives [the plaintiff] everything he requested — a permanent ban on accepting ballots without postmarks after Election Day and is a loss for the Virginia bureaucrats who said ballots could come in without these protections.”
    The case came after the Virginia Board of Elections issued a rule in August that said it would count mail-in ballots without postmarks for up to three days after the November election, the Washington Examiner reported.
    Virginia law says that absentee ballots that are received after the closing of the polls but before noon on the third day after the election can be counted if they are “postmarked on or before the date of the election.”
    PILF filed a lawsuit against the board of elections in October on behalf of Frederick County electoral board member Thomas Reed, who said he couldn’t enforce the new rules because they violated state law.

    The court sided with Reed in a preliminary injunction hearing on Oct. 28.
    In its Jan. 13 consent decree, the court said that late ballots without postmarks should be rejected.
    “If a late-arriving ballot contains an illegible postmark but USPS barcodes do not indicate a late mailing, it can be accepted,” PILF wrote.
    The Supreme Court ruled in October that election officials in Pennsylvania were allowed to receive absentee ballots for three days after Nov. 3 in accordance with the state’s law, The New York Times reported.
    “I reluctantly conclude that there is simply not enough time at this late date to decide the question before the election,” Justice Samuel Alito wrote, leaving open the possibility of later action.

    “The Supreme Court of Pennsylvania has issued a decree that squarely alters an important statutory provision enacted by the Pennsylvania legislature pursuant to its authority under the Constitution of the United States to make rules governing the conduct of elections for federal office.”
    Pennsylvania was not the only state to change election rules amid the coronavirus pandemic.

    At least 30 states and the District of Columbia made changes to make it easier for voters to cast ballots from home, ABC News reported.
    Some of the changes included allowing COVID-19 concerns to be a valid excuse to vote absentee and proactively sending all registered voters applications to request an absentee ballot (or even sending the actual ballots in the mail without a request).
    This led to concerns about the potential of election fraud in the 2020 presidential election.

    President Joe Biden’s commerce secretary nominee, Gina Raimondo, signaled to lawmakers Tuesday that she is open to hiking taxes on the middle class to raise funds to fight climate change.
    During her nomination hearing, Florida Sen. Rick Scott asked the Rhode Island governor how her state plans to pay for the Transportation and Climate Initiative Program, an agreement between Rhode Island, Connecticut, Massachusetts and the District of Columbia meant to reduce carbon emissions.

    During his campaign, Biden repeated variations of his promise that people who make under $400,000 a year would not have their taxes raised.

    The commerce secretary is one of the heads of the 15 executive departments in the president’s Cabinet.
    The primary roles of the position include overseeing business community relations, regulating technology and gathering economic data.

    Raimondo has a background in the financial industry and has served as Rhode Island’s governor since 2015, according to The New York Times.
    Some progressive groups have said that the Biden administration should have chosen a populist Democrat instead of Raimondo.
    The Revolving Door Project and Demand Progress said in a Jan. 6 announcement that Raimondo is a “corporate insider” who took away funding from low-income areas of Rhode Island during the coronavirus pandemic.
