    Phones and battery life

Anyone into phones? Got anything 3500mah or bigger?

Whats your battery life like after 1 to 2 years of use?

I don't like the idea of some carriers pushing expensive phones, but the used market seem decent enough. But they are usually 1 year old...

My current phone started with 3000, now it's reporting 2400 after two years with battery app. Wondering if going bigger battery is worth it.

Most companies build there phone to and battery to support apps and screen size. Battery life is about the same, always charging. HA The longer you own it the battery will shorten.
Would recommend getting a new phone every one to two years.

I get a new phone every year as I only need it for very little data and use Tracfone with yearly service plan.

I've had the expensive phones and I've lost a couple over the years. I said screw paying all that money and went with one of the less expensive ones. Haven't noticed a difference but I don't use all that fancy stuff anyway. I think I liked the world better before the invention of the cell phone.

I have found that battery life can depend on what you have running in the back ground. I had a Galaxy S3 that suddenly started having the battery go dead in less than a day when previously it only needed charging every 2 to 3 days. I did some checking and found out that an update had turned on automatic backups and it was trying to connect about every 15 minutes. I set it to run only between 8 and 9 in the morning when I would be on the office WiFi weekdays and home WiFi on weekends. I also found that when I wasn't needing to use Bluetooth, turn it off.

Are you noticing significantly less screen on time per day and having to recharge more often, do you have a link for the app you mention?

Although I use smartphone daily(shame on me) you're spot on! World was simply better before every kid got one!

You haven't mentioned what phone you use or the previous ones. I replaced my Samsung S7 after three years, day to day the battery was still as good as when I bought it, but then I wasn't using any battery apps.

My S9 can go two days, with games.. email.. 3 hours of talk radio a day. I don't have location nor Bluetooth. Do have Avast running.
