    is this right? (trivial)



    I see a few of these on youtube and uh....

    isnt parallel transformer setup called load sharing setup? Transformers are coils, and chargers have transformers....

    how did the guy get 100A out of that circuit? I thought 100A melt stuff really quick.


    I dont think he could add up wattage as a simple sum.

    Impedance of parallel circuit is the:
    Rt = 1/(1/r1 + 1/r2 + 1/r3...)

    and Its going to be 5V across the entire circuit... if you short the circuit, the most amperage is the circuit throughput isnt it? Which is the breaker? breaker didnt kick... so its still under 15A.

    anyone?

    Looks about right. Shorting it like that will cause a massive voltage drop and the power out put will be lower a higher amperage.

    Not taking resistance into account.
    5V X 100A is only about 500W. There are battery powered RC cars that chows more than that.
    500W output at 110V is only about 4.55A from the outlet.

    IGBT arc welders run at about 160A but at a higher DC voltage.

    Nothing wow could have hooked up 4 X PC PSU's in parallel and got more fun out of that.

    He is not talking about paralleling resistance circuits. He is talking about paralleling DC power sources.
