The founder of the Oath Keepers and four associates are on trial for the Capitol incursion on charges that include seditious conspiracy — a rarely used Civil War-era accusation.
Prosecutors claim this Civil War-era charge strikes to the heart of what happened that day, which they believe was a coordinated effort to stop the transfer of presidential power.
Stewart Rhodes and his followers are the first Jan. 6 defendants to stand trial on such a charge.:

Then bring back the bracero program. When I was growing up in Coalinga, Mexican participating in the bracero program followed the California melon harvest from the Imperial Valley up through the San Joaquin Valley. They either worked the fields doing the pickings or in the packing sheds. Supervisors would constant check the fields to determine when the melons would ready for harvest. The pickers got paid in accordance with the weight of the melons the picked that were of the proper ripeness and size to be packed. Too many culls in a load and the amount you earned went down. They made enough money to live quite comfortably back in Mexico the rest of the year.
As for the packers, they worked piece meal also. They got paid according to how many melons the packed. One year according to my dad, the 2 top packers in Coalinga averaged earning $48 and $52 an hour over a 16 to 18 hour work day.
As for menial jobs like moving the crates of melons from the packing line to waiting box cars, that was done by locals, mostly high school students on summer break who weren’t able to find any other summer job.
Hey, maybe Queen NanNan is saying that they can come and work in her vineyard, NOT.
