You are an all star at publishing false or misleading information. Infrastructure in 2021 covers way more than roads and bridges. It includes drinking water, broadband internet, ports, airports, electric vehicle recharging station, etc.

The USA essentially buffers these same people from entering Canada because of the much further extra distance they would have to travel and the much colder weather.

In 2008, Californians were promised an operational high speed rail system that would accept passengers by 2020. Keep in mind, this “project” has been going on since the 1990’s!
Only, there’s a few issues;
They still have yet to acquire over a quarter of the property needed to finish the line.
They have only secured less than half of the 80 BILLION dollars needed for completion.
Their 2020 boarding date has now been pushed back to at least 2028, with sources from the project saying 2033!
Originally touted as an 800 mile line (costing 39 billion), it is now only going to be 171 miles (with a cost of 90 billion WTF!?), and normal buses will make up the remainder of the route from L.A. to San Fran, which in turn, makes it faster to drive your car down the I-5 (HAHAHA). For this reason alone (not delivering on what was promised), they must pay the federal government back nearly 3 BILLION dollars, but the problem there is, they don’t even have that money anymore!
It’s taken so long that some cable support structures have rusted and partially collapsed, causing work to cease, so they can go back and fix those issues!
A 31 mile stretch near Fresno is still only 50% completed as of January 2021.
To put that all into perspective;
The Transcontinental Railroad was built, mostly by hand, IN SIX YEARS from 1863 to 1869, using primitive equipment. It spans 1,912 miles (double that of California’s original 800 mile proposal).
It went over rivers, through wooded areas, and tunneled through mountains (sometimes only tunneling 1 foot a day!)
They faced terrible blizzards, heat, and attacks from native Americans.
