Kentucky, which has a Republican legislature and a Democratic governor, has enacted a bill to expand voting rights.

President Joe Biden’s proposed infrastructure bill calls for $571 billion in additional transportation spending over current federal levels, and $50 billion to make infrastructure more resilient to climate change, according to White House documents sent to Capitol Hill that were reviewed by Bloomberg News.

The documents shared with congressional offices provide the first detailed breakdown of proposed spending since President Joe Biden unveiled his $2.25 trillion infrastructure plan. Many Republicans have criticized the plan for increasing corporate income taxes and Biden and members of his administration have been publicly portraying it as providing overdue help for Americans after decades of under-investment in roads, child care and other programs.

The plan calls for $115 billion to be spent on roads and bridges, including $50 billion on a “fix it right” road modernization program intended to address existing problems before expanding projects. It also sets aside $40 billion for investments in bridges, $5 billion on community transportation block grants and $10 billion on transportation alternatives.

New enrollees in Obamacare exceed half a million.
The number rose sharply from previous years, probably a result of more outreach, less stringent criteria for signing up, and the pandemic.

Just more laws that would apply to only law abiding citizens. This will do nothing but increase the already high demand for guns - democrats are very good at doing that. Maybe he just wants to ban the AR-14? I think liberals want to take away our guns because deep down they know they are not mentally stable enough to own one, therefore no one else should be allowed to own one either.

Among its provisions are the official approval for voting centers (which is just combining some polling places so people can choose from a few places to go vote, rather than just the one in their precinct) - 17 states already do this, but the drawback to this is, there are fewer polling places!

an online portal for absentee ballot registration (26 states already have some form of this, while ALL states allow you to request an absentee ballot by mail.). Kentucky’s law states you must have a VALID reason to request!

and three days of early voting. - 43 states already allow some form of early voting. In Nebraska, for example, it’s 35 days as opposed to Kentucky’s 3 days. Kentucky also added a provision that upped the restrictions on who can request these ballots. Up to this point Kentucky had NO early voting laws.

It will also require drop boxes, - Lol! - Again, Most states already have ballot boxes available to its citizens, usually at the county Clerk’s office.

creates official recount procedures, - WTF!?! Lol! - Over half the states already have Automatic recounts when a certain threshold is met. 43 states allow requested recounts.

allows for tax dollars to advocate for or against ballot questions - This is a bullshit provision! Most states, if using taxpayer dollars, CANNOT advocate for or against, it must be completely neutral information about the ballot question. This will most likely be abused.

and mandates all voting machines to generate a paper trail for votes cast. - Nearly every state already requires this. It would be stupid not to have that hard copy as backup!

What they don’t tell you about “the only red state ‘that is expanding voting rights’”, is that there’s this little provision in there that REQUIRES SOME FORM OF IDENTIFICATION TO VOTE! Ope, There it is!! Lol.

All in all, Kentucky had some outdated voting policies, and are just trying to get on an even level with the rest of us!

Not really big news, or surprising to most of us.
To others, they see this as a chance to twist it into “Georgia Bad, Kentucky Good”. Lol. Even though there’s an ID requirement!!

They want to ban guns for the same reason they want the fencing and barriers up in DC!
They know the people are sick of their shit, and they are afraid of the resistance/ revolution that may ensue.
Look what happened at the capitol. 100,000 unarmed (except for a few) citizens came in and shut it down! Now imagine a Million or 2 million ARMED citizens doing the same thing! They would have no chance!
They have created that atmosphere and are now panicking and fearful that an armed resistance to their bullshit may be inevitable.

and that's why the founders wrote the 2nd Amendment .. not to protect hunting ... but rather to stand up to tyranny. That's why Hitler disarmed the germans.. fear of an uprising.

"Shall not be infringed" something it seems everyone has forgotten.
