as I suspected... it wasn't about Floyd.. it was all about causing mayhem and destroying property.
Rioters Run Rampant Despite Guilty Verdict for Derek Chauvin
Vandalism and rioting broke out in Portland, Oregon, on Tuesday night in response to the verdict in the trial of Derek Chauvin. The rioters began spray-painting the Justice Center, according to The Oregonian.
Later on, as one group moved through downtown, rioters smashed windows.
“A dumpster fire was started near the area. The fire was ultimately extinguished by a community member,” police said.
Two people were arrested, police said. One was charged after allegedly breaking and spray-painting the windows of a local coffee shop.
The second arrest, of Randy Gray, 36, came after a confrontation between protesters and police.
We all knew that they wouldn't stop rioting.
Due to the administration failing to protect the border I think Biden admin should pay back ALL the states for money spent protecting their state, after all that is the primary duty of our government!
Democrat Senators Urge Biden to Reimburse Arizona for National Guard Troops at Border
Two Democrat senators on Wednesday called on President Joe Biden to reimburse their state for sending National Guard personnel to the border to help deal with the immigration crisis.
Arizona Gov. Doug Ducey, a Republican, announced this week he is sending up to 250 Guardsmen to the border to deal with the surge in illegal immigrants attempting and successfully crossing into the United States. That will cost some $25 million.
“The situation in our border communities is just as bad—if not worse—than the coverage we’ve been seeing,” Ducey told a press conference. “It’s become evidently clear that Arizona needs the National Guard, and the White House is aware of that. Yet, to this day, there has been no action from this administration, and it doesn’t look like they are going to act any time soon. If this administration isn’t going to do anything, then we will.”
Sens. Kyrsten Sinema (D-Ariz.) and Mark Kelly (D-Ariz.) said they back the deployment in a letter to Biden.
While some resources are being provided through the recently-signed American Rescue Plan, “additional personnel are needed at the border to ensure our communities are protected, and migrants are treated fairly and humanely,” they wrote.
“This need for a secure and orderly process at the U.S. southern border should not fall on the state of Arizona or Arizona border communities,” they added, noting that some 500 Guard personnel are already deployed to southern Arizona border sectors.
“As such, we request you reimburse the state of Arizona for the deployment the Governor announced yesterday to support border security and continue to increase DHS personnel who can further assist with the processing of migrants, securing the border, and executing important security missions,” the senators asked Biden.
A White House spokesperson did not respond to a request for comment.
The number of illegal border crossings has surged under Biden, leaping from 75,315 in January to 168,195 in March. The number of unaccompanied minors, or kids not accompanied by parents or other guardians, leapt nearly 13,000 to 18,663 from January to March.
The United States has struggled to contain the kids, opening over a dozen new facilities and asking foster parents to take them in.
Many Republicans have been critical of the Biden administration’s handling of border enforcement. Some Democrats have as well.
Sinema and Kelly in their letter told Biden, “There is a crisis at the southern border.”
Biden on Saturday for the first time acknowledged that the situation is a “crisis,” telling reporters that he planned to increase the number of refugees allowed into the country. Biden said that would help ease the crisis.
Asked about the characterization, White House press secretary Jen Psaki told a briefing on Monday that Biden “does not feel that children coming to our border, seeking refuge from violence, economic hardships, and other dire circumstances is a crisis.”
“He does feel that the crisis in Central America, the dire circumstances that many are fleeing from … that that is a situation we need to spend our time, our effort on, and we need to address it if we’re going to prevent more of an influx of migrants from coming in years to come,” she added.

Climate activists dump manure near White House to protest Biden's 'bulls**t' environmental plan
A group of climate activists gathered in Washington, D.C., on Thursday to literally make a stink about President Joe Biden's environmental plan ahead of the White House summit on climate issues involving 40 world leaders.
Videos and photos circulating online of the Earth Day demonstration show activists wheeling pink wheelbarrows containing cow manure downtown toward the White House before dumping the contents in a pile onto the street.
In all, about 15 wheelbarrow loads of manure were dumped into a pile before a sign saying "stop the bulls**t" was planted on top, the Washington Examiner reported.
A spokesman for the activist group, called Extinction Rebellion, told the outlet they were protesting Biden's plan to cut carbon emission by 50% of 2005 levels by 2030, which he argued was not nearly enough to ward off catastrophic environmental consequences.
"His plan to reduce carbon emissions by at least 50% by 2030, long after he's out of office, is too little, too late," the spokesman reportedly said. "We need net-zero carbon emissions by 2025. Anything else guarantees climate destruction and nails the coffin shut for millions across the globe."

Washingtonian writer Jane Recker reported that after dumping the manure, the activists dispersed without cleaning up their mess.
In remarks at the virtual summit, Biden framed the climate crisis as "the existential crisis of our time."
What else?
The summit, according to The Hill, was riddled with technical difficulties. While Vice President Kamala Harris delivered remarks, her voice echoed on the live feed making it difficult for anyone to hear. A similar echo occurred at times during Biden's remarks, as well.
United Kingdom Prime Minister Boris Johnson was also affected by audio issues. The outlet reported that his remarks were "interrupted by dial sounds, as if someone were pressing phone keys near his microphone."
Perhaps the funniest moment, however, occurred when it was time for Russian President Vladimir Putin to speak. U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken had cut away from French President Emmanuel Macron because his speech was originally not accompanied with English subtitles and opened the floor to Putin. But the Russian president was apparently not aware of the transition.
"'The floor is now to the President of the Russian Federation,' Blinken said after several moments of silence, as Putin continued to shift in his seat, seemingly unaware that attention had turned to him ... More than a minute later, Putin began giving his remarks," The Hill reported.

Leaders of countries like Brazil, Canada and Japan made commitments on Thursday to curb domestic greenhouse gas emissions and tackle climate change during President Joe Biden's climate summit.
The pledges come shortly after Biden vowed to reduce U.S. emissions by at least 50% by 2030, more than doubling the country's prior commitment under the 2015 Paris climate agreement.
