Arizona AG Doesn't Hold Back as He Urges Biden to Remove Harris as 'Border Czar'

Arizona’s attorney general urged President Joe Biden to remove Vice President Kamala Harris as his administration’s “border czar” in a Wednesday letter.
Attorney General Mark Brnovich, a Republican, requested in his letter that Harris be replaced as the overseer of the illegal migration crisis.
Brnovich criticized Harris for failing to visit the border and called her response to the crisis a “slap in the face” to Arizona residents.

“Vice President Harris has shown little interest in observing what is happening along the border and has failed to articulate any plan to deal with the devastating effects of this crisis. … Mr. President, this is a slap in the face to Arizonans who helped elect you both to the highest offices in the land,” Brnovich wrote.
“What is occurring now at the border and in our communities is reckless and dangerous — to Arizonans, to migrants, and to the security of our great nation.”

Brnovich pointed to the increase in apprehensions at the border in April to argue that the situation is getting steadily worse.
Border Patrol agents apprehended over 178,600 illegal migrants in April, a 3 percent increase from March, according to Customs and Border Protection.

“The truth is that our border officials are overwhelmed, law enforcement is understaffed, and local ranchers live in daily fears of threats from Cartel operatives. It is shameful that they are not receiving more federal support,” Brnovich wrote.
“The latest apprehension numbers from April show that things are getting worse, and we do not yet know the full extent of dangerous people and drugs crossing into our communities.”
The attorney general said he invited Harris to visit the southern border in early April and never received a response.

“I sent Vice President Harris a letter on April 2nd, personally inviting her to tour the border with me and to hear from the brave citizens on the ground,” he said.
“To date, I am very disappointed that I have not received a response from Vice President Harris or anyone in your administration.”

Brnovich asked that Harris be replaced by “a federal official who is willing to see the crisis firsthand and to work with state partners to address it.”
He also urged the Biden administration to adopt new policies at the border and increase “transparency with members of Congress, the media, and the American people throughout this crisis.”

Yup she's failing at all tasks assigned to her.

Republicans Draw 'Red Line' Over Major Issue in $2 Trillion Biden Bill

President Joe Biden’s trillion-dollar dreams won’t come true if there is a tax increase attached, Republican leaders vowed Wednesday after a White House meeting with Biden and top congressional Democrats.
Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell and House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy each said after the meeting that they will not back the tax hike Biden wants to cover his $2.3 million package of infrastructure spending and other projects.
Biden wants a hike in corporate income taxes to be the main revenue source to offset the spending. A separate $1.8 trillion package of child care and education spending would be offset by an increase on personal income taxes for the richest Americans.

“We’re not interested in re-opening the 2017 tax bill. We both made that clear with the president. That’s our red line,” McConnell said, according to Politico. “This discussion … will not include revisiting the 2017 tax bill.”
The 2017 tax bill, passed during the administration of former President Donald Trump, reduced taxes.

“You won’t find any Republican that wants to go out and raise taxes,” McCarthy said. “Raising taxes is the biggest mistake you can make.”
McCarthy said he also raised with Biden his concern that inflation must be brought under control.
McConnell said Senate Republicans will not simply march to Biden’s drum, saying he did not favor “top-down dictation as to what this package looks like, but rather a consultative process in which everybody in my conference is involved,” according to Axios.
Republicans have noted that, although labeled as an infrastructure package, there is a lot in the $2.3 trillion proposal that has nothing to do with areas traditionally defined as infrastructure.

“We first have to start with a definition of what is infrastructure,” McCarthy said, according to The New York Times. “That’s not home health. That’s roads, bridges, highways, airports, broadband.”
McCarthy reportedly sent a campaign text to supporters after the meeting that said, “I just met with Corrupt Joe Biden and he’s STILL planning to push his radical Socialist agenda onto the American people.”

White House press secretary Jen Psaki said the goal of the meeting was to “convey that the world is not waiting for us to work together” and to negotiate in a “good faith effort,” Politico reported.
Democratic House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said she was “more optimistic” after the meeting, which she said “took us a few steps forward.”
As for McConnell’s anti-tax-hike stance, she said, “He considers it sacrosanct. We have a different set of values.”

Re: The Shining City Upon a Hill

That money is meant for AMERICANS... not for illegal criminals! It's not about helping Americans it's all about padding their voting roles.

As Americans Struggle with Aftermath of COVID, Biden Admin Helps Illegal Immigrants

Amid surveys that show a vast swath of America struggling to make ends meet due to the impact of COVID-19, illegal immigrants can now collect taxpayer money as part of the billions being doled out to colleges.
The Department of Education on Tuesday implemented a final rule that ended a Trump administration ban on illegal immigrants and international students collecting aid that was sent to colleges to be handed over to students who claim they have experienced financial or other hardship — including food insecurity — due to the coronavirus.
“In their capacity as students, undocumented persons, like all postsecondary students, pursue degrees, obtain employment commensurate with their educational attainment and in doing so contribute to the greater good of the economy and society as a whole,” the rule stated.

“The Department has been persuaded, therefore, by the public comments received that there is no good policy reason to treat them differently.”
Overall, Congress has ladled out $35 billion into a pot for colleges to give out to students who say they need help, but did not set guidelines to define who was eligible.

During the Trump administration, Education Secretary Betsy DeVos relied on the rules of existing student aid programs, which meant illegal immigrants could not collect.
“[T]he CARES Act makes clear that this taxpayer funded relief fund should be targeted to US citizens, which is consistently echoed throughout this law,” a spokesman for the Department of Education said at the time, according to Forbes.

Illegals criminals deserve only one thing, a swift kick in the ass back over the border!

All that has changed now that the Biden administration makes the rules. Education Secretary Miguel Cardona announced the change on Monday.

“The pandemic didn’t discriminate … and we want to make sure that all students have an opportunity to have access to funds to help them get back on track,” Cardona said, according to The Washington Post.
Republican Rep. Virginia Foxx of North Carolina, the ranking Republican on the House Committee on Education and Labor, called the action “an insult to every American.”
“The law is clear; federal funds are for hardworking citizens. President Biden is fueling an immigration crisis, and this final rule exacerbates the emergency at the southern border. I call on elected Democrats to stop swindling law-abiding citizens, put Americans first, and respect the sacrifice of hardworking taxpayers,” she said in a statement.

    Colleges reportedly supported the change.
“Denying emergency grants to DACA and undocumented students wasn’t just legally questionable, it was a moral failing, and I’m relieved to see this finally corrected,” Justin Draeger, the president of the National Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators, said, according to The Post.

However, Republican Sen. Ted Cruz of Texas was prone to agree with Foxx’s opinion on the matter.
Cruz backed the ruling when issued last year.

“College students who are in the United States illegally should not be benefiting from taxpayer dollars in a coronavirus relief bill — period,” a spokeswoman for the senator said at the time, according to Inside Higher Ed.
“Secretary DeVos was right to make that decision,” the spokeswoman said. “At this point, Democrats simply want to shovel cash that we don’t have at the problems caused by the coronavirus pandemic.”

In a time where our debt is sky rocketing, citizens are struggling to keep their businesses, to put food on the table, these illegals are being treated better than American citizens. Biden doesn't give a fuck about us, just about ruining our country.

The promising state of American manufacturing – and what we need for more progress

America’s vaccination success story is very much a manufacturing success story.

Manufacturing in the U.S. proved — as it has throughout so many crises in years past — that it was made for this moment, and that it is ready to build the next, post-pandemic world to come. Today we can report that the state of the manufacturing industry is growing stronger with each vaccination.

Our industry was able to survive and adapt to the pandemic because it is truly modern. Manufacturers are embracing a new industrial revolution powered by digital innovation.

Anyone who tours a manufacturing facility will see that 3D printing, virtual and augmented reality and all forms of smart Manufacturing 4.0 technology are now commonplace. And employees who showed up in person were protected from Covid-19 by advances in robotics and automation, as well as carefully redesigned shop floors that enable safe social distancing.

This innovation helped the manufacturing industry lead our country’s disaster response. Manufacturers in the U.S. developed Covid vaccines within just one year of the pandemic’s arrival. And companies from nearly every industry subsector, including the makers of automobiles, aerospace, apparel, food and beverages and countless other products, shifted and retooled their operations to produce personal protective equipment and other medical supplies for first responders.

It is no wonder that manufacturers are hopeful. The National Association of Manufacturers conducts a quarterly survey of manufacturers’ outlook, and our most recent results showed that nearly 88% of manufacturers report a positive outlook for their businesses.

Manufacturers today are channeling the same spirit that helped our industry find a path forward for our country during the Space Race, the Great Depression, wars and last century’s flu pandemic. The next, post-pandemic world will be better than anything we’ve known, and manufacturers will build it.
