Democrats tried to pressure Manchin by calling him racist. Didn't work. The man says he is unmoved.

...I would not count your chickens before they hatch.

The only Democrat in question is Senator Manchin from West Virginia and he has already signalled that he is in for a big infrastructure package.

4). The American infrastructure plan is a very popular across the country as citizens see their roads and bridges failing.
1). You can't "run out of runway" when there was no runway to run on in the first place. The biden admin demolished the runway, put a fence around it, and put guard dogs in place before the bill was introduced. Goes to show how tenacious and strong-willed the Republican party is. When there was no runway, they built one, and had to fight off the dogs while doing it, just to get to a point where they could get their ideas introduced.
At less than a Trillion dollars, and only focusing on ACTUAL infrastructure, along with plenty of democratic concessions, Republicans are poised to keep talks going and get a compromise that doesn't fuck up our country's economy to near the extent it would if the price tag was 2.3 Trillion dollars.

2). Obstruct the admin's plans? You have it all wrong. There's this thing called "compromising", which is what they are trying to do, but the admin wants nothing to do with compromise....they want to spend as much as they can, on whatever radical shit they want, and also spend on things that have no place in an "infrastructure bill". Shall I bring up the "Union and Labor Protections" that certain prominent democrats are screaming for to be added to this "infrastructure bill"?
And how can they "obstruct" when democrats have the majority??? LOL. Oh, That's right....they might not have enough democrat votes to get the job done! HAHA!! Soooooo...."bipartisan" opposition to the bill should mean that it shouldn't be passed, Right?

3). Remember when schumer said they would "stretch the rules, or try to change the rules" on budget reconciliation so as to be able to "govern without republicans" again for a possible third bill??
    Pepperidge Farm Remembers!

A new ruling by Senate Parliamentarian Elizabeth MacDonough threatens to upend Democrats' plans to pass President Biden's infrastructure proposals.
MacDonough issued a new ruling on Friday (6/4/21) stating that the Senate cannot use budget reconciliation, which allows the chamber to pass budgetary bills with a simple majority, twice just to avoid a filibuster.
The Senate also cannot revise a budget resolution without restarting the entire budget process anew, which would be immensely time-consuming and difficult.

"The potential for abuse was clear in 1974 and is all the more obvious now," MacDonough wrote, adding that "overuse and over-reliance on a hyper-fast track procedure in the ordinarily deliberative Senate … will change the culture of the institution to the detriment of the committee and amendment processes and the rights of all Senators."
The ruling means that Democrats will not be able to pass Biden's $2.3 trillion American Jobs Plan and the $1.8 trillion American Families Plan, as well as other budgetary proposals, in multiple reconciliation packages, as they had originally hoped. They could still combine the proposals into a single budget bill, but any measures not included in the 2022 bill would have to wait until the 2023 fiscal year begins in October 2022.

4). Do you live here? Tell me who you've spoken with "across the country"! Or are you just going based off of what the liberal media is telling you? You have no idea what is "popular" or not across the United States.
You are correct in assuming that citizens (especially in poorly run democrat cities) are worried about Traditional (actual) infrastructure such as roads and bridges, but a new survey finds that a majority of Americans are not very receptive to the idea of "newly defined" or "non-traditional" infrastructure, which makes up about 80% of the bill.

To put that in other terms.....only $115 BILLION dollars were set aside for "Roads/ highways/ bridges/ main streets" out of their initial 2.3 TRILLION. The majority goes towards "climate agendas", "clean energy research", "technology addressing 'Climate crisis'", "misc", "training", "random democrat bailout items", "bailouts for poorly run businesses (Amtrak)", "Electric Vehicles","plugging oil and gas wells", and 400 BILLION for "caregivers for the elderly, and "upping the pay of certain care-workers who are disproportionately women of color" <--(OPE! THERE'S THE RACE CARD!) LOL.
People in the United States want ACTUAL INFRASTRUCTURE fixed. Not this bullshit radical agenda that has been put forth by biden and the democrats.

... it is possible for Senate Majority leader Chuck Schumer to simply fire the current Parliamentary Advisor as "she appears to be making up new rules out of whole cloth". The Republican Senate leader has done the same in the past.

"Please stop pretending like the parliamentarian ruling is something other than advisory and get on with the people's business," "We were gifted the majority to govern, let's govern!"
