A group of 31 House Democrats urged Joe Biden this week to “relinquish” his unique authority to launch nuclear weapons as the Commander-in-Chief; saying “vesting one person with this authority entails real risk.”
“Nearly three dozen House Democrats on Monday called on Biden to relinquish his sole authority to launch nuclear weapons, in the latest appeal to reform the command-and-control structure so that no single person can initiate a nuclear war,” reports Politico.

“As president, two of your most critical and solemn duties are the security of the country and the safeguarding of its nuclear arsenal,” the letter reads.
“Vesting one person with this authority entails real risks,” claims the letter written by Rep. Jimmy Panetta of California. “Past presidents have threatened to attack other countries with nuclear weapons or exhibited behavior that caused other officials to express concern about the president’s judgment.”

... the concern is not about President Biden being in power it is about the next President after him could be more like Donald Trump. On the last days of Trump's presidency he was acting very erratic and unpredictable, willing to do anything, like incite the Jan 6th riot to extend his time in office and delay the legal actions mounting against him as a private citizens.

The New York Attorney General now has ten years of his tax returns and Trump's house of cards will soon come crashing down showing him as the tax cheat that he and his family really are.
