... all due to global supply chain disruptions caused by COVID-19D. Even copier/printer wholesale costs are rising across North America due to rapidly rising logistical costs.

    Nothing to do with politics.

... I have to assume that since you have been out of the copier business for several years you have not heard what your copier suppliers or any other kind of supplier have been telling you.

Like it or lump it prices are rising because of global logistic problems caused by COVID related disruptions to the entire logistic chain.

Prices are rising in Canada, France, Germany, Japan, UK and everywhere else in the world. This is not a unique USA problem.

Obamas, Bushes and Clintons joining new effort to help Afghan refugees

The Obamas, Bushes and Clintons are joining a new effort to help Afghan refugees resettle in the United States.

Former President Obama and Michelle Obama, former President George. W. Bush and Laura Bush, and former President Clinton and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton will serve as honorary co-chairs for the effort called Welcome.US.

In a joint statement, the Bushes said they are "proud" to support the effort.

"Thousands of Afghans stood with us on the front lines to push for a safer world, and now they need our help," the Bushes said. "We stand ready to show our new Afghan neighbors and the rest of the world how a welcoming and generous spirit forms the backbone of what makes our country so great."

Thanks China! You lying Communist Bastards!
It's past time to take them down a notch, and start relying on our own manufacturing and production of certain goods in our own countries. Maybe throw some sanctions and reparation requirements on China for starting (and then lying about) this whole pandemic, which has caused the woes for the rest of the world, not to mention their human rights abuses. Wouldn't hurt for countries to be energy independent also.
I believe someone was already doing that.........? Wonder who that was........?

    More Good News
The Biden administration has revoked a Trump-era rule that consumer advocates argued allowed the Education Department to subvert state law enforcement probes of student loan servicers — one of a series of recent overhauls that could pave the way for more robust investigations.

In a new letter obtained by NBC News, a group of Democratic senators are expressing support for Education Secretary Miguel Cardona for the latest reversal that tightens oversight of the student loan servicing industry, but they also believe the department must go further to ensure states have the full backing of the federal government to hold loan companies accountable.

    More bad news:

Family budgets were put under even more strain in August as food prices continued to climb at a stunning pace.

The pricThose numbers are mild, however, compared to the extreme price movements in the meats aisles of the grocery store.

Remember when the Biden White House bragged that Fourth of July cookouts were $0.16 cheaper this year than last? That silly claim is now totally untrue.e of food overall is up three precent compared with a year ago, data from the Bureau of Labor Statistic’s monthly Consumer Price Index showed Tuesday. Compared with July, food prices rose four-tenths of a percentage point.
Growth is found only in adversity.
