Funny how there's only a fleeting mention of actual infrastructure. This article focuses mainly on cybersecurity.

Remember that time in 2018 when Trump signed a bill that created CISA (Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency)?
    Pepperidge Farm Remembers!

The bill, known as the CISA Act, reorganizes and rebrands the National Protection and Programs Directorate (NPPD), a program inside the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), as CISA, a standalone federal agency in charge of overseeing civilian and federal cybersecurity programs. A benefit of this is a substantially larger amount of funding and more authority in imposing directives.

Elevating the cybersecurity mission within the Department of Homeland Security, streamlining our operations, and giving NPPD a name that reflects what it actually does will help better secure the nation's critical infrastructure and cyber platforms," said NPPD Under Secretary Christopher Krebs. "The changes will also improve the Department's ability to engage with industry and government stakeholders and recruit top cybersecurity talent."

    Little Johnny strikes again!!
The kids filed into class Monday morning. They were all very excited. Their weekend assignment was to sell something, then give a talk on salesmanship. Little Sally led off. “I sold Girl Scout cookies and I made $30” she said proudly, “my sales approach was to appeal to the customer’s civil spirit and I credit that approach for my obvious success.” “Very good”, said the teacher.
Little Debbie was next. “I sold magazines” she said, “I made $45 and I explained to everyone that magazines would keep them up on current events.” “Very good, Debbie”, said the teacher.
Eventually, it was Little Johnny’s turn. The teacher held her breath. Little Johnny walked to the front of the classroom and dumped a box full of cash on the teacher’s desk. “$2,467”, he said. “$2,467!” cried the teacher, “What in the world were you selling?” Toothbrushes”, said Little Johnny. “Toothbrushes”, echoed the teacher, “How could you possibly sell enough tooth brushes to make that much money?”
“I found the busiest corner in town,” said Little Johnny, “I set up a Dip & Chip stand and I gave everybody who walked by a free sample.” They all said the same thing, “Hey, this tastes like dog sh-t!” Then I would say, “It is dog sh-t. Wanna buy a toothbrush? I used the President Biden method of giving you some crap, dressing it up so it looks good, telling you it’s free and then making you pay to get the bad taste out of your mouth.”
Little Johnny got five stars for his assignment. Bless his heart!

White House releases Biden's tax returns in restoration of presidential tradition

The White House has released the 2020 tax returns for both President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris on Monday, restoring a presidential tradition that had been ignored under former President Donald Trump.

The White House also released the first and second families' financial public financial disclosure reports.

The Bidens filed their federal tax return jointly and reported a federal adjusted gross income of $607,336 and owed $157,414 in federal income tax, according to a summary of their taxes released by the White House. According to the first family's 1040 form, they paid $162,063 and received a refund of $4,649. Their 2020 effective federal income tax rate is 25.9%.

"The Vice President and the Second Gentleman reported federal adjusted gross income of $1,695,225. They paid $621,893 in federal income tax, amounting to a 2020 effective federal income tax rate of 36.7 percent," the release from the White House says.

In releasing the tax returns, the White House also took a dig at Trump.

"Today, the President released his 2020 federal income tax return, continuing an almost uninterrupted tradition," The White House said. Trump never released his tax returns while in office.

Trump became the only major party presidential candidate in the post-Watergate era never to release any of his tax returns, claiming multiple times that he was not able to as he was being audited. According to the IRS, every president and vice president is guaranteed an audit every year since the Watergate era.

Psaki appeared to give a veiled criticism of Biden's predecessor, telling reporters that the White House expects to "continue to release the President's tax returns as should be expected of all presidents."

Biden released his 2019 tax returns last September while running for president, which showed he and first lady Jill Biden paid nearly $300,000 in federal taxes in 2019 and had an adjusted gross income of about $985,000.

... the ex President has resisted all efforts to prove if he had paid any US personal income taxes.

Inside the $40 billion a year "tax loophole" that President Biden would eliminate

Biden wants to end this little known tax provision that has saved the wealthy billions for over 90 years

The federal tax code contains a loophole so big that in the time you spend reading this article, it will have saved wealthy families and their heirs an average of about $400,000. Over the course of a day, the average total savings is more than $100 million.

Families without sizable estates may be unfamiliar with the provision, but it’s been on the books for more than 90 years and has helped the wealthy pass on billions in dollars to their descendents tax-free.

It’s known as the stepped-up basis rule, or, as President Joe Biden called it this month, the “trust fund loophole,” and Biden’s American Families Plan aims to put an end to it for many people who inherit big estates.

Biden, who advocated removing the provision while on the campaign trail, continued attacking it this month in an address he made in support of his plan.

“We need to make a choice to eliminate the loophole,” Biden said. “[If] a person passes away and leaves stock to their son or daughter, [they] don't have to pay anything on that multimillion-dollar gain when they sell that stock.”

Biden would use the money as one source of funding for his plan, which proposes nationwide preschools, free community college, a national paid-leave program and an extension of tax cuts for low- and middle-income Americans.

The U.S. Senate publishes a yearly report that includes an estimate of the impact of the stepped-up basis on Americans, and according to that report the top earners benefit the most from this part of the tax code.

By government estimates, the stepped-up basis provision left more than $40 billion of potential tax dollars in the pockets of wealthy heirs in 2020 alone, a figure that has steadily climbed since 2017. Five-year estimates show no sign of a reduction in that number.

“Middle-income people spend most of their assets before they die, whereas high-income people have more wealth than they can spend,” said Leonard Burman, a co-founder of the Urban-Brookings Tax Policy Center, who contributed data to the Senate’s predictions. “So the more unequal wealth becomes, the more assets you’ll find are being passed tax-free.”

Liberals are some jealous motherfuckers. Instead of being jealous, you should try to be rich. Of course they have more money than they can spend....they're fucking rich, bitch.

... therefore, they should pay more taxes to help fund important things like free community college tuition to help raise low income people out of poverty and into the middle class.

Closing this tax loophole on assets when people die has existed for over 90 years and is wildly abused by the super rich.

Your response is let the rich and their children to continue to keep getting richer by hiding the transfer of wealth from one generation to another.

Very few people get super rich but 10,000s would benefit from free community college. So many families would benefit from free daycare.

Even yourself would benefit from a tax cut unless you enjoy subsidizing the super rich which you are very unlikely to ever become.
