Texas Gov. Greg Abbott's (R) job performance rating has fallen sharply, according to a new poll that shows a majority of Texans now disapprove of him.
Forty-five percent of Texans approve of Abbott's performance as governor, while 54 percent say the state is headed in the wrong direction, according to the survey from The Dallas Morning News and the University of Texas at Tyler.
Abbott's approval rating was at 59 percent prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, which has claimed the lives of more than 60,000 people in the state, The Dallas Morning News noted.
Beto O’Rourke plans to challenge Greg Abbott for Texas governor:
I expect Trump to be re-elected if he runs.
Harvard Poll: Donald Trump More Popular than Joe Biden
Former President Donald Trump is more popular with registered voters than President Joe Biden, according to a Monday Harvard CAPS/Harris poll released by the Hill.
“Forty-eight percent of respondents say they have a positive view of Trump compared to 46 percent who say they have a favorable opinion of his successor,” the Hill reported.
In addition to respondents’ more positive view of Trump than Biden, 51 percent believe Trump was actually “a better president than Biden.”
During Trump’s tenure, the United States succeeded at hammering out trade deals, constructing historic Middle East peace agreements, and raising wages for many varying demographics. In contrast, Biden’s presidency has been defined by the deadly Afghan evacuation that left hundreds to thousands of U.S. documented residents stranded behind enemy lines and droned Afghan civilians.
Growth is found only in adversity.
More folks should have stuck with Trump because those 13 Marines that were killed in Afghanistan would still be alive and those innocent kids that Biden killed via drone strike would still be with their mother and father. Everything that Biden promises turns out to be just the opposite and a trail of destruction is left in it's wake.

The top US general 'was certain that Trump had gone into a serious mental decline' after the 2020 election, book says
- A top US general was "certain" Trump's mental state declined after the 2020 election, a new book says.
- Gen. Mark Milley thought Trump was "all but manic" in the days following the Capitol riot.
- The reporting comes in a new book by legendary journalist Bob Woodward and Washington Post reporter Robert Costa.
... you really want as unstable a personality as the ex President to be Commander in Chief?
I think Trump did a much better job and as you've said, the covid deaths are beyond the control of a president. We were in much better shape under Trump and don't forget that he's the one that fast-tracked the vaccine - Operation Warp Speed. Yet another example of the private sector working miracles when the government steps aside.
