Minimum wage workers across the state of Florida are set to get a pay hike on Thursday.

The current minimum wage across the Sunshine State is $8.65 per hour, but on Thursday that goes up by $1.35 to $10 per hour.

The pay increase comes nearly a year after 61% of Florida voters passed Amendment 2 in the November 2020 general election. Amendment 2 provided for the state minimum wage to rise over the next several years until it eventually reaches $15 per hour — which was a change to Section 24 of Article X in the Florida Constitution.

Stop saying that I'm being ridiculous and admit that I'm telling the truth.

    There are several possibilities.
    1. Nothing cahnges and the corp. eats the increase
    2. Prices go up and the consumer pays for the increase
    3. The producer finds a way to manufacture the product cheaper and the price stays the same, or the price rises a little.

We'll play this out to it's logical conclusion. Okay?

In the past you have accused rich people of greed and said that that don't pay their fair share of taxes.

But now you're saying that they're gonna turn over a new leaf and eat the tax increase or find a way to make their product cheaper. Remember these are the same folk that you accuse of being greedy.

There's another possibility that we haven't talked about. They start laying off workers and/or replacing them with cheaper labor - illegal immigrants.

PS - In any event, nothing that I said was ridiculous. That begs the question: Why did you say that it was ridiculous?

Oct 18th is a estimate. The risk is that Congress runs out of cash earlier than expected, setting the stage for an accidental default that would have dire consequences for almost everyone.

    BWAHAHAHAHAHA!!!! HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!! HAHAHAHAAA! HAAAAAAAAAA!

So, 2 out of your three scenarios have boiled down to affecting the consumer negatively. Yet you've been sitting there arguing with Billy and trying to convince him and others that this won't affect the middle class or the poor, and then turn around and admit that people like us are going to more than likely have to just deal with the increase in cost or a decline in quality of a product for the same price!?!? What the hell are you smoking? And can I get some?

    As for your first scenario........BWAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!
