As of today, the price for Regular in my area (Southwest of Cleveland, Ohio) ranged between $3.449 and $3.899, at least that I saw.

The fact is that anothertech most likely was referring to prices in his community. More than likely bsm2 is looking at the price in Florida where he lives which is $0.27 less than the national average thanks to the fact that Florida has a Conservative Republican Governor. Here in California where we have a Communist Democrat Governor, the price is $1.52 more than the national average.

Nationwide average for gas on the day before Biden took office according to Gasbuddy,com was just under $2.39. And as of today it is $4.007. May not quite double but damned near. And one year ago it was $3.183.
