What is wrong with reviewing books that are being taught in school ? you see what is happining on collage campuses they are not only banning conservative books but BANNING speakers with opposing views that they do not agree with . You dont seem worried about there freedom . Collage kids are old enough to make there own mind up but the elementary kids , not so much and can easily BE INDOCTRINATED .

You forget, indoctrination is the goal, not education. Training kids to question what they're taught is dangerous for the left.

What's wrong with teaching the true history of how African Americans were treated from the time of slavery to the present? Why is DeSantis so afraid of the truth?

Not afraid of teaching true history just afraid of who is writing that true history .

Because the true history of slavery in the US would include uncomfortable facts like the first slave owner being a black man, not all slaves being black, not all slave owners being white, the majority of the foul treatment of blacks coming from democrats (KKK and Jim Crow laws were all from that group). More fun facts include that fact that few white salve traders left the beaches in Africa, they bought the slaves from other Africans, the fact that of the 8.5 million slaves sold out of Africa, less than 500,000 came to the US, most went to the Caribbean and South America. Oh, and let's not forget that right now there are more slaves in the world, mostly on the African continent, than were ever in the US. If you are trying to fight slavery you might want to start there, rather than one of the places that ended it over 150 years ago.

So what? Teaching the truth seems to bother the republicans more than the democrats. Why is that?
You seem to believe, for reasons unknown, that teaching the truth is a bad thing.
