The answer is obvious. The current extreme liberal media would never allow changing the ACA, something that never should have been passed in the first place. At the time the ACA was written, Harry Reed refused to even consider any suggestions the Republican Senators offered, that's right it originated out of the Senate.

The only ones trying to kill Social Security is the Democrat party. It was President Linden Banes Johnson with the help of a Democrat controlled Senate and House of Representative eliminated the protected Social Security fund and included in the General Fund. They then started using it to fund numerous new welfare expenditures that they created in an attempt to limit the cover up the fact those expenditures were going to cause huge increases in deficit spending. It did not work. LBJ is when deficits started to increase rapidly.

As originally proposed, contributions to Social Security by the work and the employer were supposed to be matched by US Government, but the Democrats have refused to allow an appropriation bill to fund that matching contribution. It is also the Democrats who funded Medicaid using Medicare contributions.

The liberal controlled major media has been lying to you for decades or at least not telling the whole truth.

And the Republican Party is trying to prevent the US health care system to follow Canada's collapse.

The more I learn about Canada's single payer system, the worse it gets.

    Here's an eye opening stat.

The Canadian Medical Association estimates 5 million Canadians are without a primary-care provider.

Let's put that in context. Canada is a tiny country in terms of poulation - 38 million.

Out of 38 millon citizens, a whopping 5 million are without a primary doctor.

It's worth noting that Canada was unable to produce it's own covid vaccine and Trudeau was left begging on the world stage. He even took vaccine away from poor countires (people of color) because Canada is very white (priviledge) and desperate.

    Information and source:

Demographics of Canada ; European Canadians (72.9%) · Asian Canadians (17.7%) Indigenous Canadians (4.9%) Black Canadians (3.1%) Latin American Canadians (1.3%).

WOW, that's just over 1 out of every 8 people.

From what I remember from another thread, the reason Trudeau had to beg for vaccines from the US and other countries was that he actually brought and paid for, using Canada's tax revenues, vaccines from one of the pharmas without getting a written commitment as to a delivery date. I wonder if they ever got those vaccines? Their failing healthcare system could have used those wasted funds.

Oh, it's a real crisis. That's why our boy copier idiot won't talk about it. He took great pride in Canada's healthcare system. He even bragged that he was proud to pay a high tax rate because he got great medical care.

But we all know that liberal policies are nothing more than a ponzi scheme.

Re: Canada healthcare on verge of collapse

I learned all I needed to about Canada's health system, and all socialized health systems to be honest, when the head of their national health service flew to Florida for cardiac care rather than subject himself to the system that he ran. He was willing to spend his own money because the free system that he ran, which is held up as far better than the care available in the US, wasn't good enough for him. The same thing happens with many wealthy leaders and citizens in locations with socialized medicine. Yes, Americans do go to other countries for some services that are unavailable here, I blame the FDA for not allowing the patient and doctor to make the choice on what risks are worth taking, instead banning things that they decide don't meet their standard. Remember, though, almost every commercial that starts with "If you or a loved one..." is for what was once an FDA approved medicine or device or procedure, so perfect they are not.
