    Maybe you'll find something better...

Brand X down here in the states is a union shop - That's good in the short term, but I've yet to see a union that didn't outlive its usefulness.

There may be a position or two open here in my local area in the near future.
That is of course if a couple of the techs put in for their retirement soon.
They are going to keep my information on file, and if something opens here I'll receive a call.
Well at least it wasn't a flat out no, but it sounds like you shouldn't hold your breath waiting for someone to retire.

Having worked for Xerox, although across the pond, the old timers seems to stick around for EVER. I worked with one guy who still wore polyester pants and an afro hairstyle.
Best of luck in your search!

Name doesn't ring a bell, but I still may have met him. Our founding fathers were all ex Xeroids and I met a bunch of their former compadres at one time or another.

    Now for a Positive update.

I was just hired on by a local IT company, work starts on January 8th @ 9:00am

here is to the best part - its a 25% increase in pay to what I was making before.
now I just have to start thinking again how Copier to IT tech comes in handy in this business.

Congratulations Shadow. Keep us updated. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.
