    Ricoh MPC2500 add toner message

I have read past threads and i am stuck, don't usually work with Ricoh. Unit says add black toner, customer used compatible toner. Replaced black pump and tube. Installed OEM toner after pump replacement. Message continued. Swapped unit into another machine the customer had and both worked. Two days later the original machine came back with add toner message. The toner chip now reads empty. Toner unit turns. Cleaned sensor area behind toner hopper. Can hear pump working. Doesn't appear that toner is entering dv unit. Marked gears and dv unit is turning but I did notice that the black drive gear in the back of the machine can be turned easily by hand where the other color are hard to turn by hand. Turned sp5051 and sp3045 off and on. Any further advice before i pull the rest of my hair out.
    Thanx
    Brian

Re: Ricoh MPC2500 add toner message

Another update, swapped yellow and black sensors at the supply end of the pipe and notice toner in the supply end but not on the pump end. Checked supply pipe and no kinks. Still says no black toner and tries to add toner but doesn't.
    Please help.

    Thanx,
    Brian

    Bantams,

Is that the clutch in the rear of the machine behind the white plastic housing? If not, is it located in the drive mechanism and could you supply the part number.

    Thanx for the reply,

    Brian

You should replace "Pump Unit - BK" Part. No. B223 3201. Before buying remove it and check if there is toner in it. Remove the drums then transfer belt and remove it from the case.
    P.s sorry for my english

Yeah that's the clutch and are all same for ea ch colour so a simple switch with clutch from other colour will soon rule in or out the clutch being at fault.
Part number is also on the clutch when you remove it

Re: Ricoh MPC2500 add toner message

Thank you for the replies, in the past, the toner pump usually resolved to problem, which I replaced first.
I took the clutch in the rear apart already and flushed it, but it did not help. There is no toner in the new pump I installed.

    Thanx again all.
