    Re: MPC2003 printing Dark

    Hi all,

I have just been to yet another 2003 with this exact same issue, perfect good quality photos print really dark, this happens on all 2003's i have seen.

Today I put a jpeg on a usb stick & printed directly from the control panel with the same poor results so this rules out a driver issue.

Never seen this on the 3003 & above.
a quick fix was to use a the photo enhancer option in win 10 customer is not happy as theot old mpc2551 had no issues!
Let us eat, drink, and be merry, because tomorrow we may die!

If possible try MPC 2551 PCL 6 driver and send the job to MPC 2003.
    Just for trial.
We have seen this in case of XEROX DC12 case which worked well
    regards

Settings on the driver(print quality) will greatly help.

Cleaning the optics and running ACC usually takes care of the light copies.
Hi, could you tell me what the ACC is? I've got a MP C2003 with light prints that was fine not that long ago. Also is the Full Color Calibration the same procedure as in the User Tools, then Maintenance section, then Auto Color Calibration?

The MPC2003 series is not great in maintaining it's toner/dev ratio over time in low volume enviroment. Calibration won't do the trick if full solid colors are fainted. Depending if you like to spend money or not you can swap the dev units or force toner supply via SP mode a few times, check the results, and - in case it's ok - re initialize the dev.

It is in User Tools. Prior to running it you need to power the C2003 off, completely clean all the optics and turn the C2003 back on. With clean optics white reference scanning done at power on may correct your problem without anything further needing to be done.

Thanks. The machine is giving light prints, not just copies, so I will try this. I know this thread is for dark prints but all is helpful. Found the other thread about light prints as well.

Don't forget to clean all four slit glasses before running ACC.

Clean the ID sensors and run ACC. It is in user tools under maintenance.
