Savin MP C6003 Service Manual for upcoming PaperCut Install

I am a Konica Minolta service tech and certified PaperCut tech.

We have a client with PaperCut that has a Savin MP C6003. They want us to also put Papercut on this model later this week. We have not done any other models so far besides Konica Minolta.

I am trying to find out advice to where I might be able to find a service manual for this model as we are not a Ricoh dealer. There are a few settings that I may need to refer to a manual. There is also the need for a Java VM card but I am told it is already installed. For example see below some settings from PaperCut Embedded manual for this Brand. Thanks for any information.

The Enhanced External Charge Unit allows PaperCut to control and track usage of the MFD. Thismust be enabled to allow PaperCut to function properly.

Set the system parameters as follows:

SP-5-113-001 (Default Optional Counter Type) → 0:None
SP-5-113-002 (External Option Counter Type) → 1:Expansion Device 1

The MFD may need to be restarted for these changes to take effect.

NOTE: This setting can only be enabled by a Ricoh technician. We recommend that this setting bechanged when the Java VM card is installed. Contact your copier dealer/technician to arrange this.

There is also the need for a Java VM card but I am told it is already installed.

If Extended Features appears on the main User Tools screen, then JAVA is installed.

Java is embeded on the controller for this model so there wont be a vm card but as Slim says extended features should show up under user tools...

It also needs to be started. Go Extended Features / Extended Feature Settings. If JAVA VM Platform is highlighted yellow with "starting up" next to it, it's working normally. If not, tap it to make it start then reboot the device. When it comes to ready, check the startup state. If you get "Waiting" for more than 10 minutes, post back. You'll need the Java sdk update tool because the Java has shit the bed.

If not, install Papercut using the Extended Feature installer in Web Image Monitor and configure from the ops panel. Don't forget to make it Autostart and run on the flash memory.

Whats the procedure to install the JAVA SDK using the update tool ? AND WHERE TO FIND THE FILE ????

Sounds like JAVA has been disabled, check SP 5730 set back to 1.

Or you may need to update or reinstall JAVA drop us an an email if you need the file.
