    MPC5502A doc feeder issue

I have a client that uses there doc feeder like a high speed scanner, since ive put the mod kit in from the service bulliton its been fine , 10 boxes of 2000 through it minor issue, probably due to the paper, that said,
when they do ONE piece of paper "sometimes" as the client put it it shredds the paper on intake, i can seem to figure out what could cause this, but my guess is the riser tray is going up slightly too high intermittently causing the single paper to get pinched as it goes in? and keep in mind these are Lawyers and i get the proverbial "the old machine didnt do it" i just want to say "the old machine didnt scan at lightning speed either bitch"... but as a professional no can do,
so what would the brains of this post suggest? (about the scanner not the lawyer) LMAO

I don't know if this is still the case, but if the damage starts on the leading edge of the documents it always used to be a worn out sep roller in the feed area of the ADF.

I believe this is one of the models that had a problem with the Mylar upper guide in the top door getting worn and causing feed jams.

hmm, upper mylar? you mean just past the feed intake mechanism? going into the first curve down into the doc feeder?, the paper is getting crushed right at intake, its not making it into the feeder... is there another mylar you speak of?

The white roller directly under the contact image scanner.
