what is the page counts on drum/dev/belt?
did you clean out the supply tubes?
is the machine clean inside?
Check the toner inlet on the PCU, if it is packed with toner chances are bad gears in the developer unit.
as was mentioned if there is more than 60k on it, the PCU needs to be rebuilt or replaced
If he had a large amount of toner in the tray that he had to clean out, I wonder if he had the old toner valve stuck in the chuck? I see this frequently. Correction. I took a look at kttyhwk's profile and it should be SHE not he. Sorry Kate you did put more information in your profile than many do and I did not initially check.
thanks for noticing slim, not many of us out here. and yes had a lot of toner in the tray in fact going to replace the tray, green handle way too stiff, mach has 182k on it
so are you saying the PCU has 182K on it and has never been changed, because that is the relative question
if it was replaced every 60K then it would appear to be due again
Maybe a silly question, but was the nipple from the OLD toner bottle left behind in the hopper? I've seen that happen a couple of time, so it might be worth a look
Did you read the entire thread before commenting? I ask because, other than your slang terminology, I asked the same question yesterday.
I used the "Slang" as you called it because I work on multiple lines... and none of them use the same terminology for everything, so I took a shortcut with the language.
