that's the solution .... change plates no man hahahaha
you have the bulging adf ... you have to take the exposure glass and put it horizontally ... the adf car is uneven and it creates shade ... there is also the option of dirty glasses but it misses me more ... a hug

+1 on this suggestion. I had an almost exactly same problem on an MPC3004. Cyan background while copying from ADF.
Tech has replaced IPU, Scanner assembly, SIOB. When I visited the site, i did a backup of the nvram, cleared it, did some test copies and works fine.
When data has been restored, the same problem came back.
It's pain when you have to set all the values from the Birth Certificate of the machine.
Just a friendly reminder tho, check your logging data if you have an SC code 1XX.
Aye! Cut the crap
Thank you all for the replies. I can handle restoring the initial values in sm. I'm going to work on the copier today and i'll keep you updated.
printing off a non-default smc also might help with checking the BC (not been on the tools for a few years now)
if I was referring to the lanes where the lamp and the crystals are ... if the adf has had weight on top you have to put it back again, taking it from where the glass is and pushing it up with your hands until you see that it is horizontal . that is the problem that you have insurance
