MP2851 won’t scan Win 10 only on 1 computer

I know this has been beaten to death but I’ve tried everything on this one.
Customer had 4 Windows 10 computers and just added a fifth.
MP 2851 scanning to folder fine on other 4 computers.

I have tried every trick I know to get this new one scanning but no go.

Firmware updated
SMB 1 turned on in Windows features
Enable Netbios
network sharing on
Created new user (scans, password)
created new shared scan folder (read/write everyone and scans)
turned off firewall and antivirus
tried computer name and IP address for path

it just sits there waiting no transmission error or authentication error

I know I can use FTP or email but since the other 4 work on folder they would prefer
this to be the same.

What am I missing?

Make sure your newly created user for scans has admin privileges. I also read somewhere that if a scans folder has been created and deleted, you must use a different name for the new scans folder, or it won't work. These and a hundred other things could be messing it up. It seems like some win10 builds absolutely hate friggin scanning and will not work. I've run into that twice. Oh, and I also recently read that a certain box must be checked/unchecked during setup, or the password you gave to the scans user will expire in 90 days and scanning comes to a screeching halt. Best of luck, and be sure and post the solution. Scanning set up is really the only part of this job I sometimes find truly difficult, and I hate it.

Check the new computer is setup on the same workgroup and all network settings, other than individual IP address, as the others.

right click on folder go to proprieties re check sharing . under security tab add the scans user full control

I agree with this.
I've run into that on a few occasions myself, and was forced to setup FTP.
As for the customer "preferring it be the same".....what's different as far as they're concerned other that the path displayed on the screen when they touch their name, and a small program running in the background that that will never bother them?
Otherwise, the process is identical. In fact, in offices that I have 4 or 5 individual PC's to scan to rather than a server, I prefer FTP, because it's unaffected by password changes, and/or windows updates that seem to change network settings and screw up SMB on a more than regular basis these days.
FTP is a much more stable process (for me anyway) in these situations

try ping from copier to computer and see if it is successful. i had one the other day and it would not ping. turns out they were using McAfee turn off firewall and it work. When you setup new user on that computer made sure it was a local account and was it setup as a stander user or administrator. Then on folder as other have said make sure user is in both share and security and has full control. I would create a new folder just to see if there is a problem with folder. Windows 10 is that home edition or pro. If you have update to latest firmware smb1 should be turn off.
