Again try backdating system firmware, we’ve seen this on more than 1 machine.

Did what you suggested this morning before replacing controller, only lasted a couple hours and customer called back.
Tried 3 different controllers in this machine, ALL with differing results.
1st controller swap = worked until I printed counter page then went to SC 819. (Without HDD being installed).
2nd controller swap = Freezing and SC 672.
3rd controller swap = "SD card required for Restoration" - made an encryption key, but machine would not accept it.
All controllers were updated in the shop to the same f/w level of the customers machine and Re-tried with the same results. All of those controllers work in one machine at the shop without issue.
EDIT: Not even an hour and customer just f*%$in called back. SC899. We are going to just exchange the piece of shit, and be done with it.
Thanks again for the insight from all of you.
So, re-installed original controller, different set of DIMMS, and replaced BICU. Knock on wood that this takes care of it.

If you have trouble identifying the PC, do the following:
- Disconnect the network cable.
- Cycle power to clear the the error. If the error comes back with the network disconnected, the problem is not a print job.
- Enable user codes and do not give print right to anyone.
- Connect the network cable.
- All currently print jobs will be cleared.
- Disable user codes
Aye! Cut the crap
A print job will stay in the queue on a PC until the PC gets an acknowledgement from the printer that the job has finished printing. I had a customer with a C2550 that had the interlock switches on the bridge unit going flaky. During a 40 page 100 copy print job the it would think one of the jam doors had been opened. This would create a J001, jam at power on. Once all paper had been cleared, the print job would restart from the beginning.
UPDATE ON THIS ISSUE!
Ricoh just released a new System/Copy F/W for this issue on 11/4/19 that corrects this issue. Problem with last two system/copy firmware levels 4.14 and 4.15 with SC899 occurring. Explains why it was getting the code without being connected to network or anything.
