Pro C7200 - Premature death of fusing roller

    Good afternoon.

Everyone servicing these machines, keep an eye on the fusing roller (AE010133). Mine died at 285k pages (new machine, first EM), supposed to last 900k. I got lucky - a colleague had the same happen to him, the fusing belt also got wrecked; my fusing belt came out fine because the machine stopped with an SC520.

    Best regards!

    Good technical partner.

I have been going through something similar (but with other pieces) the models MP Cxxx4, which less than 2 years and not reaching 100K, (according to manual, the life stop is 300k) the image units "PCU" start to lose quite a lot of intensity. (Not meeting half-life of the pieces)
Quarterly reviews, device testing, optics cleaning, color calibration, paper pick-up wheel review, revision and cleaning of laser crystals (those that are cleaned with the rod). The customer uses very good quality paper.

We think of the company that the new devices, certain components are not of the proper quality (to save costs in the sale), and then it is the replacement ones, the ones that have the best quality (logical explanation of certain exorbitant prices).

New machine??? This product line was introduced in February 2009 for the MFP and 4 months earlier for the printer. My guess is that you have a vastly under utilized machine and the roller died of old age.

2009? We're certainly not talking about the same machine. This is a recent installed machine, the successor of the Pro C7100 - the version with 5 pcdu units, the fifth being used with white or clear toner...
