Unhappy MP C6502 can't clear message: Replace Cyan Cleaning unit

I did replaced Cyan Cleaning unit on this MP C 6502; I did reset cleaning unit counter on SP Mode with side door open. same message on screen.
I check several post on this issue and even interchange cleaning units with other colors, but message doesn't clears.
Another tech advice me to replace whole Drum unit assembly (PCU unit), I dont have part number.

    Any other advice?

    Thank you !

MP C6502 and Pro C5100 are the same basic platform. Please see the following thread for help.

Also...use SP3-701 (Manual new unit set) and scroll through to the cleaning units to reset them WITH BOTH SIDE DOORS OPEN.
Those counters will be accessible rather than going in via the PM menu.

The 5110 has a sensor to detect when the lube bar has run out the out so needs to be replaced can not be reset.
The 6502 is the office version this is done via PM counter so do manual new unit set as suggested.

From checking I linked the wrong thread on my previous post. It should have been Pro C5100S Replacement Message Won't Clear The bulletin posted by anothertech is the critical information.
Considering the fact that I have worked more on C6502s than on the Production models, the problem with the lube bar wear sensors is the same. In fact almost all parts are the same since both are the same basic main frame. The main difference are the toner hopper assembly (different capacities), the control panel, added feature with the Pro and a couple of additional peripherals for the Pro.

Had this happen a couple of times. Reset all the counters but message remains. Usually the contact switches for the lube bar. I make it a habit to open them up and widen the gap between the copper contacts every time.

so what you re saying is you give the lube bar more time to wear down and damage the $$$$ drum?.. your customers must love you when the drums fail due to WEAR MARKS!

Nope. That would be your assumption. But hey those that can do and those who can't manage! Am I right?

If you just follow the instructions in the bulletin, nothing else needs to be done.

Obviously since you need to do unnecessary and unauthorized modifications, you must fall into the category of those who can't.
