    SPC262SFNw scan to email

    HI,

Customer's question is why this machine don't work with the SSL/TLS protocol.

He cannot get the adjustment for SMTP .
When sending a scan to email he uses the user email adress as the sender,
this is then blocked by office 365.

also, despite version 1.16 the machine still does not come out of sleep mode, one mustten perform a power reset.?

Someone more experienced with this model?

    Thanks in advance

    Gr George

I have not seen a machine yet that can use office365 without a relay server or certificate added. It's a Microsoft "issue" not a Ricoh issue.

I have, but this machine uses the users email as a sender's name.
He says that you cannot enter a smtp sender email that is used for all scans?

Don't think any RICOH support scan to email using TLS and is a requirement for Office 365
I use gmail as machine supports SSL or other mail server.
You can setup a mail relay in Office 365 IE connector but customers IT should set it up.

Use the customer's MX record as an SMTP server on port 25 with no authentication. Put their domain name in here to get their MX information:

MX Lookup Tool - Check your DNS MX Records online - MxToolbox
It's 106 miles to Chicago. We've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses.

    Hit it.

Do you mean auto specify sender name? I have attached some pictures of a typical setup.

Part of the problem I see is Office 365 uses port 587..not port 25. If you follow these settings, you SHOULD be able to send.

The two email addresses need to be the same for office 365

"e-mailadres apparaat" is the device email address/the from address
