    Ricoh MPC 300 firmware

Is anyone available out there that would have a recent firmware update for this model? Have a customer who's machine has started glitching with SC670 codes and want to try this before venturing down the road of replacing boards.

    Thanks

    Check this
    670
    CTL
    D
    Engine start up error
The ready signal from the engine board is not detected.
    • Defective BCU.
    Replace the BCU.

I have the exact same issue except its on an MP C401.

Mine won't come to ready or accept a fw update.

If yours is an intermittent issue manual states update firmware then replace the controller.

Have you tried accessing WIM? If you can try updating System and then Engine using .rfu firmware.

like others have chimed in I now pull all toner bottles out b4 knowing it is a true sc670.
I dont know what the RFID brds have to do with it but have seen toner chip, dirty contacts or other
    give false alarms..

it s odd i just had a shop machine mpc300 that took a while to show ready that coded sc670/
I restarted it a few times and no change.
I then took all toners out and turned back on wth front door open.
Machine did not code again wth door open or close.
I swapped different used toners one at a time and now it seems ok.
