Hi Mark, it’s not in 2FA section it’s below that in the signing in wth google box under security. I’ve copied below the instructions from google support page, hope that helps!

1. Go to your Google Account.
2. On the left navigation panel, choose Security.
3. On the "Signing in to Google" panel, choose App Passwords. If you don’t see this option:
   
   • 2-Step Verification is not set up for your account.
   • 2-Step Verification is set up for security keys only.
   • Your account is through work, school, or other organization.
   • You’ve turned on Advanced Protection for your account.
   
   
4. At the bottom, choose Select app and choose the app you’re using.
5. Choose Select device and choose the device you’re using.
6. Choose Generate.
7. Follow the instructions to enter the App Password. The App Password is the 16-character code in the yellow bar on your device.
8. Choose Done.

Have you tried simply disabling two-step authentication? Since the main problem is two-step authentication, there should be no problems or errors without it. Although there is always another option, you can change the phone from your account to a temporary phone from such a service quackr.io after that, you will need to write a small algorithm so that the fax or printer automatically takes the code from the source. I'm not sure of course that such a thing can be implemented at all, but with the right desire, I'm sure everything can be done. My friend, for example, out of boredom, completely disassembled and reprogrammed a smart vacuum cleaner. 3: Simply disabling 2FA is NOT the solution, because "use less secure apps" at a minimum would then need to be turned on....as discussed earlier
