Lanier 7502 sc142/202 after cleaning drum unit
I had a machine that got a jam, and after they removed the jam, it had light print. After cleaning very well, drum unit and whole machine vacuumed. It starts to throw sc142 and sc202 right off the bat when powered back on. The lamp doesn't light up on power up either now. Opened the drum unit up again and everything was perfect.
I just wanted to get some ideas before I start taking all the scanner unit apart and reseat everything in the back.
I noticed a couple people online who had the same issue during drum related cleaning, but no discussion after or solutions.

Clean the frame where the drum ground spring is and pull the spring a little

Hmm. I did clean every part of the machine very good. But thanks for the thought about the spring.

I take it that you either do not have a service manual or did not take the time to open it. Neither of those errors have anything to do with the drum unit.
When you powered it it you may have heard a high pitched nails on chalkboard type noise for maybe 20 seconds then the SC202. That noise was the polygon mirror motor seizing.
The SC 142 is a white level detection error from the scanner unit. Follow the troubleshooting guide in the service manual.

I know they don't have anything to do with the drum, and was working fine before this. I didn't hear a high pitch noise that would indicate it.
