    Pages light ricoh 4054

Hi, I have a Ricoh 4054. In the lower side of the sheet, the print comes out transparent while above it is all clear. The printer has about 200k
I have already replaced the image unit and the fuser. I also cleaned the laser glass.

By printing the counters, the upper part is light while the lower part is ok. Printing the counters in A3, only on the right side is a clearing visible. The only piece that comes to mind is the transfer roller that I haven't replaced yet.
    Any suggestions?
    thanks!

Did you try to stop printing proces(open the door) when the paper is around the drum?
If the image is OK on the drum but not on the paper, then it is problem with transfer roller.

Usually the transfer roller tension arms pop out of place and it loses spring tension on one side causing to lose pressure. Seen it many times. If you are lucky, you can pop it back together, if not parts replacement will be required.

    +1 FOR THIS...
I had a call the other week for the same thing and the customer had knocked the PTR out of place on one side.

Similar situation on the color boxes too. I see those more often than B&W as I have more of those in my territory.

yep...side doors too flimsy and if customer pushes one side or the other other thn center, ptr spring mechanism gets stuck too far back and needs help springing back forward. You get no transfer on one side or the other.

Hi, I replaced the transfer roller, an unresolved problem.

I brought the whole transfer roller block with me. By removing the customer's one a small piece of plastic fell! By entering mine, the problem is solved.

The customer has confessed to me that it has happened since paper was jammed. Likely they pulled and blew something.

I've found that if you let the customer talk long enough, eventually they will tell you everything!
