    "switching display...please wait" error copy mode MPC4504EX

    Hello
    )
    when I use the new copy mode and the fast copy mode I get "switching display.....please wait" after 2 seconds (and it stays
    The old copy mode works.

    allready done:

    - new firmware
    - delete copy mode and fast copy mode en re-install the apps
    - reset cheetah (android) afterwards install "animations" back
    - replace tablet (complete!)

    none of above works.

    ordered new controller

    this is not a sollution but a work arround...
    and this is not a work arround for this client of 300 machines with streamline.....
    classic app don't work with streamline

    First thing I would do is update all firmware on machine, Java and the Android OS. When I have seen this in the past it has always been a firmware/android mismatch.

    I said update firmware: cheetah is included in the package firmware!
    and I also wrote that I changed a complete SOP. android isn't running on a CTL!

    Ah never done that. I am old school. I do SOP with zip file in SOP recovery mode. And machine firmware individual. Have had way too many issues with package firmware. Most current System M2a (Android) is 1.36. Might want to verify and make sure it took with the package. Also if Streamline is Java app, I would max out the heap and stack settings. If they are left at default, sometimes there isn't enough buffer and it will cause a lockup/crash.

    Is this happening on multiple machines, or just this one?

    I had a very similar issue with GSNX a few years back (4 MP6002s at a law office).

    Turned out that there was no “A” Record (DNS) entry for any of them, as the customer had played musical chairs with their DNS servers.

    Try pinging the troubled machine by its IP; it will most likely respond. Then try its hostname (most likely will be “RNPxxxxxxxx”) if it fails, you have a DNS problem causing the hangup.

    I’m pretty sure that the copier needs to communicate back to the SLNX authentication server when switching modes.
