MP 501/Kyocera M3550?

I was looking on here for something for a SP5300 and saw a thread that had the MP501 and this Kyocera M3550 in the title.

Kyocera M3550- is that actually called the M3550idn?

Might try to order a Kyocera part for the Ricoh one.

I have a Kyocera parts manual for the M3550idn. The parts look similar to the MP501.

Often there is also a change in an alignment pin or bracket. Either different position or size.

What did you find out? Is it fuser unit the same for RICOH MP501 and Kyocera M3550 or at least fuser roller?

I was looking in to the machines because we had an account damage the glass. The Kyocera was a different color so we ordered a Ricoh one and charged them.


MP 501(SP5300)/Kyocera M3550 (FS4300) - is there part number for heat roller?

I don't think there are parts available for the fusers individually. Maybe some knock off from China or something.

I don't remember the model number for the kyo printer version of the M3550, but we took some of them in on a trade. I pulled the fuser out of one and it looked identical to the mp501 fuser. I did have opportunity to put it into a mp501 as I was in desperate need of a fuser and had none. It slid right in and took right off. That was about 2 months ago at a hospital and no troubles have occurred.

Toner Head...I've also been looking for a Kyocera compatible fuser for the MP 501.
Is the fuser for the Print version Kyocera the FK3100 ? Used in a Kyocera FS 4100 ?

I do not remember the model, sorry. I can tell you one thing though, if you pull out an mp501 fuser, the Kyo part # will be on it. Even on the outside of the box

Ricoh M281-4070 equals Kyocera 302SB93070.

Stupid Ricoh too lazy to take the Kyo parts tags off.

I think Kyo made two fusers the one you indicated is for printer speeds below 40cmp, the one you need is FK-3160U

The FK 3100 fuser kit is for fits the Kyo M3550 multi function, as you had previously mentioned.
It also fits the Kyo F4100, F4200, F4300 printers versions of that engine.

If your memory is correct, that should work in the Ricoh MP 501 ???

I went back to office. We still have a fuser salvaged from one of the traded printers, the printer is gone however. The label on the fuser is FK-3130u. This is the one that worked perfectly for me in mp501. I also pulled out the m3550 parts manual. Fuser is FK-3130u for that also.
