MP 4055 SPDF 3100 Error

Hello All, I have a DF3100 with a paper curl at the exit problem, of course it never happens while the technician is there but I'm told the paper will curl and sometimes completely flip over after exiting the feeder. Has anyone seen this? is there a modification for the exit section or a static eliminator for this section? Thanks in advance.

is it humid in the location?
what paper are you using?
what are the paper tray settings?
what gsm paper are you using?
what supplies are you using?
what are the total counts on unit?
how many pages on fuser?
is the paper DAMP?

I got the impression that the issue is curling in the SPDF, sounds like the originals are curled before feeding.

sometimes it may happen that the rear corner to the left of the ADF does not come into contact with the machine due to the spring of the unloaded hinge. Or something more banal like a paper clip. (sorry for imperfect English).

Yes, sometimes the originals are taken directly from a desktop printer and fed through the feeder, other times it will be a mixture of files from a folder and freshly printed originals. The client is trying to save on machine clicks on the 4055 by printing to a desktop printer and then manually faxing the print job.

You are far too accommodating with your customers. The last time I had a Feeder problem similar to this a tech had already done a preliminary call. When I went in I made sure I had a sample set of the originals the customer was complaining about to test for myself. The "originals" were in in very poor condition (curled to begin with, staple holes, and some with post it notes permanently attached). I wasn't sure if the customer even knew what a ARDF was for. Anyway, given the condition of the originals they were happy with my work. (I was going to say they were happy when I left but that could be taken the wrong way).
