Does the machine actually have a Postscript option in it?
It's 106 miles to Chicago. We've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses.
Hit it.
I had a very weird, but perhaps similar issue, some years back.
A customer had a Ricoh MP C(something) and a high volume Konica Minolta MFP. The KM was front ended with a Creo RIP.
A mix of Mac OSX and Win7 workstations, with no print server; all printed directly. All workstations used the associated PostScript driver.
No issue printing to either from the Macs.
The PCs worked properly with the Ricoh, but got issues similar to yours with the Creo.
The problem: There were 2 PostScript .dll files that the PCs needed to print to either printer. The version of those 2 .dll files that the Ricoh driver installed were too new for the Creo.
Once we downgraded the .dlls, the PCs happily printed to both machines.
I’m wondering if the Canon PostScript files may be causing your issue.

I would suggest a full firmware update, not just a few modules. Some of these FW updates require certain levels of other modules to actually work. If you are a 30 year IT tech, then you should be able to set up printing in your sleep, that's why I'm leaning towards a firmware issue.. Scan setups can and do suck, print setups are usually pretty cut and dried. Also ,make sure 802.11 wireless is set to INACTIVE in user tools.
NEVER ASSUME ANYTHING
STOP!!! The CW2200 WILL NOT PRINT IF THERE IS A PAPER MISMATCH!! Be Absolutely certain that the Wide Format paper type in Roll Feed 1 (or 2, depending where your printing from) is an exact match for what your print driver is sending. Otherwise: (a) the data light will flash as if the job is being processed, (b) data light goes out and print job is lost. The CW2200 will not give you any warnings in regards to a paper mismatch.
try a windows 8 driver?
Share the printer you are using.
Add a new printer, select localport, type //pcname/printername.
Select the same driver.
Try printing with this printer.
This skiped me a Bsod a month ago.
