Go into factory mode and look at 5081. If I remember correctly, that is where the new code is set.

5081 is not in factory mode.
ZED255 you are a genius!
107107 may be painfully obvious to you but I did not think of that. I tried a hundred other codes, serial number, model number, year made, etc. both forward and backward. Fortunately, it worked on the one in the shop, the other is in the field already, so I will try that when I get a chance.
That still doesn't solve the real problem of resetting it if you can't guess it.
Once you are in regular SP you should be able to change it back to the default one. People are lazy so they use 107107 because it is similar to SP of old.
And 5081 is the ServiceSP Entery Code Setting. I am wondering if it can be changed through telnet?

No sir, it actually does not. Some SP modes are not available in Factory SP that do appear in regular SP or Special SP. Conversely, there are SP modes only available in Factory SP mode. There is not a mode that gives access to all, so far as I'm aware. There are even settings that have to be made via telnet as there is no SP at all.

Well, for one, SP5-081 which sets the SP access code for normal SP useage, and closely related to the subject of this thread. There are others but I have only bumped into those by happenstance, so I can't provide you a comprehensive list.
In any event, in my humble opinion, no one should be encouraged to use Factory SP unless access to a particular function is required.
There are a number of SP settings that I used to use that Ricoh has moved to Factory SP.
